I thought the issue was great. I'll wait for others to post before I give any real feedback.

Good. Close to great, but not quite there, so I went with "good."

This was a good issue. Probably on par with #22, but still no where near as good as some previous winners, like #16 or #19.

Totally agree. #16 was perfect, and #19 was also very good. There needs to be another issue as good as any of the pre-#16 stuff (excluding #5, of course) very soon.

I think this was the best issue of Predators and Prey so far.

Btw. Simone = best minor villain of S8 But I can't help but feel they're trying to replicate Faith's popularity.

Hmmmm. It was Okay. I kind of felt that it was a bit too much like filler without any real character or plot development, or even that great a story. Not bad, just not that interesting.

I'm wondering if Simone will join the ranks of Twilight and become that slayer that "he" wanted Faith to be. It wouldn't surprise me if Simone is already working for Twilight, as a poster girl for the "Slayers are Terrorists" narrative. To be honest, Simone's "rebelliousness" and megalomania seemed a bit over-the-top and forced in #23, as well as not being entirely in line with her personality as seen in earlier issues. It's almost as if she's playing a role. She did everything but rub her hands and go "mwa-ha-ha. I am eeevil."
That's also the only explanation I can think of for why the Italian government hasn't done anything about her annexing a sovereign piece of their territory.

I'm wondering if Simone will join the ranks of Twilight and become that slayer that "he" wanted Faith to be. That's a pretty interesting idea. I think at this point, Simone would team up with anyone that is against Buffy, whether it is Twilight or whoever might pop up as the next freak of the week. If she and her group did team up with Twilight though, then that would be major in terms of a final battle scenario. Twilight already has a strong group with him in terms of Amy, Warren, Riley (if he is not a triple agent), and all of his other contacts like the army, etc. Simone joining would not only bring her group of Slayer's, but she also mentioned in #23 that she has a magic user working for her as well. Not good at all if she joins Twilight.

Really enjoyed this issue. It might not have been the most complex or important, but it had some really nice character development, brilliant artwork, and hilarious dialogue. Very dependant on how much you care about Andrew though, so that might be why I liked it! Totally agree. #16 was perfect, and #19 was also very good. There needs to be another issue as good as any of the pre-#16 stuff (excluding #5, of course) very soon. Uh... #5 was one of the best issues in the series?

I think it's Pat's opinion that #5 was not good.

I think it's Pat's opinion that #5 was not good. Yeah, totally, it was just the way he said "of course" as though it was universally hated. I've heard mostly good things about #5 so that surprised me.

I think #5 is holding it's own for one of the best issues of Season 8, personally.

I did think the majority saw #5 as a step down in quality from the rest of the season. It's my least favorite thing Joss has ever done, which is worsened by the few parts of it that are good... are really, really good.

I voted good. Was expecting more, but liked what we got. There have been some great character moments in the last two issues, but I wish we'd get more of the main story.

I've heard mostly good things about #5 so that surprised me. I love #5. That issue is so deep. So many layers to peel back and explore. It's complex and confusing on initial reads, but it reminds me of Restless in that you have to keep looking at it to truly understand and appreciate it. #5 seems to be the most controversial issue - either you Love it or you Hate it. I'm in the love column. It's intense and the ending made me cry.
