It should be here any day now...
So how happy were y'all when you first got your hands on Firefly?

Actually, as full as I was with my "Buffy's-the-greatest-thing-ever-nothing-else-can-please-me"-attitude, I wasn't all that exited. But it was Joss' work so I gave it a shot. And I discovered that it's really good. Too bad that had so few episodes. I think I would need more than 15 episodes(and a movie) to fall in love with this show. But I really do enjoy watching it.
Have you seen it before?

Yep. But I never watched the extras. And I didn't really pay attention to the earlier episodes.

Yep. But I never watched the extras. And I didn't really pay attention to the earlier episodes. Have you seen the episodes that didn't air (Trash, The Message, and Heart of Gold)? If not, I'm so jealous that you have more Firefly goodness ahead of you! I actually wasn't all that thrilled with it at first. I got the pilot episode on iTunes after I'd finished Buffy and Angel, but whenever I tried watching it, I got bored and thought, "Oh, I'll finish it another time." After maybe three attempts, I got through the whole episode and thought, "Okay, this is good enough to try again," so I got The Train Job. By Shindig, I was in love, and by the time I'd finished the series, it was my second-favorite show of all time (now, Angel is just a close third.) I still can't figure out why I didn't like the pilot at first, because I love rewatching it. Maybe the whole "it's two hours long" thing intimidated me.

Too cool for a custom title. Wait...

Heh, I watched Firefly first. Buffy was "that other thing Joss Whedon did in the Before Time," and I'd never heard of Angel.
Hell, I watched Dr. Horrible before I got to Buffy...

I was soooooo happy with Firefly, The pilot for Buffy was great, Angel was amazing but the pilot for Firelfy is outstanding. Shame hardly anybody got to see it when the show first aired at FOX aired the very first episode last, the sixth episode 2nd and they just aired all the episodes out of order.
You are going to love this show prepare yourself for an emoty feeling though after the last episode...though you do have Serenity, have you got it? Its the Firefly movie...

I've seen every episode of Firefly already (I burrowed the DVD from someone else) and I rented Serenity shortly after. I even have the Those Left Behind comic. So I am very familiar with the franchise. However, for the first 2-3 episodes, I wasn't paying close attention.

I just bought it too. Only borrowed it before and seen on TV. I just bought and re-watched it Serenity and thought that I should buy the season too. I'd forgotten how great the show was. Thanks for reminding me Jay.
