Haha. Yeah. Michael would probably end up doing something ridiculous. Try to get paternity tests done or something. Everyone else will probably try to stay out of it, I think. Yeah. Knowing Michael, the first thing he'd ask her is if it's Kevin's.

I hope the intent is to call the baby Cici because Cecilia is full of meh. Great episode though, John Krasinski was fantastic.

Cici would be tolerable, but Cecilia just doesn't work. The middle name is Marie, which I'm not a huge fan of, but I think I like it better. They could call her by her middle name. Apparently, Jenna Fischer's sister had a baby the same day that they were shooting Pam having the baby. Her niece was named Cecelia, so Jenna Fischer managed to get Jim and Pam's baby named after her. Article: tvwatch.people.com/2010/03/05/spoiler-the-office-how-jim-and-pams-baby-got-its-name/So that is kind of cute, but I still don't like the name. And I definitely agree with you that Michael would assume it was Kevin's straight off the bat. I wonder if Dwight and Angela would really try to keep it a secret though? Dwight doesn't seem like he would, of course he managed to keep their relationship a relative secret for a solid five years, so who knows?

Thanks for the link. *karma* The reason why I hate Cecilia so much is because it's so unusual. Think about Jim and Pam's names. Think about their personalities. IMO, a more traditional name would've been better. Well, at least they didn't name her Morpheus.

Haha, Morpheus. I could have seen that as a running joke throughout the season. I completely agree with your reasoning on why Cecelia is a stupid name for Halpert baby. They're the normal people in a normal couple with normal names. Cecelia is not average enough for their family. They would have been better off with something like Katie or Jane.
ps, thank you for the karma.

And I think Katie would've been a really good name. (: Jane is good too, but I think I'd prefer Katie.

I like Katie too, but didn't Jim date a Katie at one point? It may not have been a serious relationship, but that's still a bit taboo.
I could see Dwight naming his kid Morpheus, but it wasn't on his list of acceptable names in the contract.

Oh, yeah. Cousin Beth, lol. I forgot about her. It wouldn't only be taboo to name your daughter after your ex-girlfriend (which is actually what Dennis from 30 Rock wanted to name the kid if it was a girl!), but it would also be somewhat taboo to give two TV characters the same name. And I totally forgot that names were in the contract. Lol, I wanted him to name him Morpheus.

Yeah, I mean Katie is a very common name and everything (I'm friends with 5), but with how many millions of names out there, reusing one on a tv show seems silly.
Morpheus would have been a hilarious name. Angela kept insisting on ones like Jedediah though. Also, I quite enjoyed the fact that Dwight tried to make 'The baby must be a boy' part of the contract.

I'll be pissed if they name the baby something like "Jedediah". 'Cause ya know, Morpheus sounds so much better. It was so hilarious Dwight insisted Angela make the baby a boy. I can actually see them with a little boy. Jim and Pam, however, I could only see them with a little girl, and it turns out I was right!

Am I the only one who finds Jo (Kathy Bates) incredibly annoying? I mean, she is supposed to be somewhat harsh and such, but I just really hate her.
Dwight and the desks was hilarious!

Oh man, I forgot to watch the Office yesterday.
Approximately 25 minutes later... I also dislike Jo. She's a bit blunt, but I don't dislike her for that... It's more like she seems to think that everyone else is stupid for not having seen what she thought of right off the bat.
Megadesk was awesome though. I was kind of curious that Dwight could get away with the gaming and surveillance computers, what with efficiency-expert-Jo on the premises, but more power to him. However, qua-desk was even funnier. I liked the little cubby hole Jim made for Dwight underneath.
I really like Darryl, so I'm a bit excited that he's getting his own office upstairs. Though it sort of seemed that he was rethinking it once he realized how late he had to work.
And, to your previous post, I completely agree. Jim does not seem like the kind of guy to have a son. I mean, he'd be a good father either way, but I just feel like he is more of a girl person. And can you imagine the kind of daughter that Dwight and Angela would spawn? She would either spend thousands of dollars on therapy, or she would end up just like them. I don't know which would be worse. =P

If Dwight and Angela had a girl, it would probably end up just like Angela, as Dwight would pass the responsibility to raise the kid off to her. If it was a boy, it'd probably end up like Dwight, as Dwight would probably raise him for the most part.
I hope Darryl being upstairs works out for the better. I don't like all these changes. Jim was annoying as co-manager, I miss Pam at the reception desk (although Erin is ok) and, as we have both said, Jo just sucks.
I still love The Office, but I think it started going downhill during season four. Agree or disagree?

Yeah, it's been going downhill for a while now. I feel like it's one of those things where the entire show was about Jim and Pam, and now they're together, so where exactly is the plot going? I still love it, but I love the first four seasons a lot more.
All these changes are a little ick. Though I think I will enjoy seeing more of Darryl, and I think that Andy and Erin are a sweet couple. Ryan's change to hipster kid was pretty instantaneous and hilarious though.
I feel like you could be right about Dwight and Angela, but having a baby is supposed to be a life-changing experience, right? Either way, I think that they would both try to be a factor in raising the baby, even if they don't get together (which I think is a possibility). Even if they have a girl, I bet Dwight will not be a dead-beat dad. Plus, I doubt Angela would have signed the contract if it meant just giving her baby boy over to Dwight.

I kind of compare The Office to The Simpsons. In the earlier seasons, they were quaint, realistic, somewhat feel-good shows that looked into an odd group of people led by a dense, but lovable guy who often went misunderstood. In later seasons, they were both outrageous and somewhat unrealistic shows. The likable main characters (Homer and Michael) have turned into blubbering, rude fools. Take the season four episode of The Office, "Launch Party". In this episode, Michael kidnaps a minor. WTF? In the sixth season episode "The Lover", Pam walks out of Michael's office screaming and yelling after have an unpleasant conversation with him about her mother. Ask yourself, would season one or two Pam have done that? Then again, the show itself wouldn't have set Michael up with Pam's mother back then.
Both The Office and The Simpsons are still funny, but neither currently possesses the qualities that made them popular and worth watching in their earlier seasons.

I agree with you about Andy and Erin, they are pretty cute together. Ryan's change, ehh, that was somewhat funny, but Ryan in general is kind of annoying to me.
I didn't mean to say Dwight would be a dead-beat dad, but I think he'd leave more of the hands on stuff to Angela with a girl. As I said before, I don't want them to have a girl, anyway, In fact, I just remember what Angela said in "Take Your Daughter to Work Day". It was something along the lines of "I wouldn't mind a pair of well behaved boys". So, yeah, let's hope they have a boy!

Yep, you're pretty right. I guess there are only so many hours worth of funny realism one group of writers can come up with.
And its not that I like Ryan. I think he's a total prick. I just am not a fan of the hipster scene either, which is why it is so amusing. My favorite thing about Ryan is that Jim made him move into the closet.
That's true, Angela did say that. Dwight mentioned today that he didn't meet his father until he was two. I wonder if he has similar plans for his baby? Poor kid is going to grow up eating way too many beets...

I loved when Jim put him in the closet! That was hilarious and he totally deserved it.
Well, Dwight said that the same thing happened to Mose and it didn't turn out so well for him. To me, what he said was bragging, that he went without his dad for the first two years of life, but he turned out ok (what he thinks is ok, lol) in spite of that. I think that would make him want to be there more for his kid.

True enough. I feel like there's an almost normal Dwight buried deep beneath the exterior that could come out if he became a father. I'm thinking about Dwight crying in the stairwell after Angela dumped him. There's definitely a barrier that he puts up. Babies (and other very small creatures) are the best way for everyone to lose their barriers and just say 'Awwww'.

I agree with Dwight deep down being normal. His personality is just too weird to be normal, lol. One thing you forget, though, is the reason Dwight and Angela originally broke up is because Dwight killed a cute, small creature.
