I heard there's a scene of Harry and Hermione making out, topless. Ron's vision of his worst fear. Am I the only one who REALLY wants to see this?! What the frak!? I want to see this!!

OH GOD I want to go to the midnight showing so bad, fkaljgklajfkldsgjfdg. Unfortunately, the school play is running this week, and I can't be tired for performances, so I couldn't go... plus, I like being worry-free when I go to movies.
BUT STILL. Waiting until next week is going to be torturous.

Have fun everyone! I'm seeing it Saturday night. And that poster of Harry/Hermione is soooo cool. Speaking of... I heard there's a scene of Harry and Hermione making out, topless. Ron's vision of his worst fear. Am I the only one who REALLY wants to see this?! You're not the only one. I want to see that so bad!!

RE: Harrmione There was a couple of moments in the movie where I thought they had tried to make it LOOK like there was something more than just friendship between Harry and Hermy, I mean when Ron wasn't even around so it didn't serve the jealously purpose... that kind of annoyed me a bit because Harry/Hermione are almost purely plutonic in the books, like not even slightly suggestive that they would want each other like that, so I thought maybe the movie was trying a bit to hard to please all shippers or something...

I just got back from seeing this holy crap was it worth the wait. In my opinion, it's one of the best of the series, up there with Prisoner of Azkaban. Things I liked about the film: -Helena Bonham Carter did a really good job as Bellatrix. The writers gave her more screentime, and we finally got to see Bellatrix as the crazy YOU-KNOW-WHAT she truly is. And I loved it. -Hermione reading the story of the Deathly Hallows was one of my favorite moments in the movie, because as she read from it an animated scene was shown, and it was some really good animation. -The scene involving the kiss that was mentioned a few posts above this one was a really good scene, another favorite moment of mine. I don't remember if the illusion of them kissing was in the book or not, but it definitely was kind of suprising to see. -Bill Nighy and Rhys Ifans were great as the minister and Xenophilius, though I imagined Rufus to look like Ian McKellan as he looked like in the Da Vinci Code and Xenophilius to look more odd.
I only have two complaints about this movie: 1. Like the sixth movie, this one had quite a few funny moments, which I think they really should've avoided. End the end, though, I didn't mind it because the movie had a lot of great moments. 2. I wish they had shown Dumbledore's funeral in some way, because I really disliked that they cut it from the last movie. Also, Dumbledore's tomb was really ugly. It looked like they threw a bunch of shaped together. Part 2 needs to be out. Right now.

Saw Part 1 of Deathly Hallows last night.
I don't really remember many details right now, other than "Oh my god, this is so freaking awesome." Probably the best in the series, in my opinion.

I just think Harry and Hermione are really close. They've been through a lot together, and have always been more emotionally connected than Harry and Ron, IMO. Their scene in HBP with her crying supports this. Also, for viewers that haven't read the book, I'm sure they are trying to keep them guessing about who she'll end up with; Not give it away too easily. In the end, I settle on: Harry and Hermione are just really close. Maybe it never got to the point of romance, but it was definitely deep.
PS, I also love the moment in POA, when Harry wraps his arms around Hermione, protecting her from the werewolf. :3 As you can see, I'm not all against Harry/Hermione. lol. I love their interactions. Posted this on my Facebook: Unless you've been living under a rock, you know that the first half of the finale Harry Potter movie has been released today! In honor of that, I've done some listing. I will not hold back; My total nerdiness will be present in this post. You have been warned. Favorite Characters: - Severus Snape (With the chapter 'The Prince's Tale' Snape became my all time favorite. His life is so tragic, and he's so interesting.) - Nymphadora Tonks (She's cool! What else can I say? Tonks is so much fun, and her metamorphagus abilities are amazing.) - Dobby the House Elf (Gotta love him. Dobby was such a joy throughout the series. His role in Deathly Hallows is of much importance, and very heartbreaking.) - Albus Dumbledore (How can you not like this old guy?! His past is so dark, and I love it. The great Headmaster isn't perfect. And I must say, Jo's risky idea of Albus being homosexual adds a lot more depth to the character.) - Hermione Granger (She'll always be my favorite Trio groupie! Hermione was always by Harry's side, which is not something we can say about anyone else. She was clever, quick-thinking, and a know-it-all.) - Luna Lovegood (Her absurd view on things is so refreshing. And her portrayal in the films adds to her quirkiness. Love me some Lovegood!) - Draco Malfoy (The protagonist's rival. His character received interesting growth in the final two novels, and he's easy to relate to then.) - Sybill Trelawney (My favorite Professor out of them all. Ever. She's hilarious. Always predicting false things. And her portrayal in the films is fantastic!) - Alastor 'Mad-Eye' Moody (Mad-Eye is so interesting! His character was one of my favorite Aurors... And I love his eye. Weird, right?) - Dolores Umbridge (I love to hate her. She's my favorite villain, not including Snape, of course. She's a mixture of care bears and Freddy Krueger. Epic.) Most favorite to least favorite (Novels): - Half-Blood Prince - Deathly Hallows - Prisoner of Azkaban - Goblet of Fire - Order of the Phoenix - Chamber of Secrets - Philosopher's Stone Most favorite to least favorite (Films): - Prisoner of Azkaban - Half-Blood Prince - Goblet of Fire - Chamber of Secrets - Order of the Phoenix - Philosopher's Stone Favorite Shippings: - Snape/Lily - Remus/Tonks - Charlie/Fleur - Draco/Hermione - Harry/Hermione - Ron/Hermione (Hermione's is quite the paired one. Bwahaha.) WELL. I'm finished here. One last thing, though: If you have nothing to read, and you love Harry Potter, check out the Hunger Games Trilogy. I like it just as much as HP, maybe even more. Amazing books ETA[/color] Not sure if this has been posted, but Noble Collection updated their Harry Potter page with all of the new Deathly Hallows prop replicas. (All look great!) www.noblecollection.com/index.cfm?fa=products.catagory&catid=21Christmas is just around the corner, and I have my eyes set on their 'Professor Slughorn's Wand' and the 'Marauders Map'/'Display Case' collectibles. I never realized how personalized old Horace's wand was! And from what I hear, and have seen of the Map, it's supposed to fantastic. Again, not sure if it's been posted, but: This book for the films looks stunning as well. And the reviews are overwhelmingly positive. ;D www.amazon.com/Harry-Potter-Wizardry-Brian-Sibley/dp/0061997811/ref=sr_1_8?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1290242819&sr=1-8

Just got back from seeing it! ;D I think it's my favorite so far.
Dobby stole the whole movie. The audience laughed at almost everything he did/said. For the little amount of time he got, he owned it all.
Hermione was the most interesting character in this movie, IMHO. From her jinxing her parents, to her depression from Ron's leaving, she was fantastic. Emma Watson was just perfect. I loved all of her scenes with Harry too. Their interactions have always interested me, and finally seeing them on the big screen is awesome.
The scenery in this movie as breathtaking! Bellatrix was kickass! So many good things in this.
There WERE only a few things I wasn't pleased about: 1. Lupin/Tonks STILL has not been acknowledged. Yes, they heavily hinted at their marriage, but it wasn't mentioned. And no word on their baby, Teddy. 2. Harry's invisibility cloak wasn't mentioned? Why not?! I mean, it was said to be a Deathly Hallow, ouldn't one of the Trio remember, "Oh, Harry has that, right?" 3. Shell cottage seemed so random at the ending; It was seen in the background, but never even mentioned. 4. Fluer's reappearance also seemed random, unless having the book's knowledge.
The movie was almost perfect. More than I could ask for. Cannot wait for Part 2!

Best line in the movie: "Dobby never meant to kill. Dobby only meant to maim… or seriously injure…"

My favorite scene was the 7 Potters part. I especially loved Fleur as Harry.
On another note, I'm really curious to know if people who have not read the books are having a hard time following this movie. It seems like they would not understand those little flashes of other things going on in the world that Harry keeps getting throughout the movie. I understood everything that was going on and so did all of my friends but we have all read the books. So is anyone here just a fan of the movies or know someone who is and has seen the new one? I'm just really curious about this.

I also loved the part between Harry/Umbridge; When he slowly transforms back into himself, and says something along the lines of, "You must never tell lies." And then stuns her! And I cannot forget the beginning scene, when Hermione wipes herself from her parents' memories. I'm not sure if anyone else realized this one moment, but when Hermione has to oblivate the snatchers' memories of the Trio, it's SO emotional! You can just see the sadness in her eyes when she uses the spell, because of having used it on her parents. -cries- Emma was so spectacular, once again. Also, I wasn't sure where else to put this, but I felt the need to share. I just got this set up tonight, and am so proud. Lame, I know, but it's my little Harry Potter corner. I have the complete series 1-7, the UK, USA, and collector editions of Beedle the Bard book, Harry Potter Should Have Died Mugglenet Book, Quidditch Through the Ages, Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them, Harry Potter's Wand replica, a Ravenclaw pin, a Gryffindor scarf, a Time Turner replica, and two PoA metal wall-posters! And wanting to add more to the ol' corner soon. xD (My other favorite books are next to the series.) Anyone else have their own collections?

It seems like they would not understand those little flashes of other things going on in the world that Harry keeps getting throughout the movie. It's explained in the movie, though. When Hermione tells Harry that it's dangerous to let Voldemort into his mind. All people need to do is pay a little extra attention.

The only thing in the movie that I thought needed explaining was the shard of glass he carried around. Book-readers know, but it isn't explained whatsoever in the films.
Also, above I said that Lupin/Tonks hadn't been mentioned at all, but I was WRONG. I just rewatched HBP, and it's made very clear that they are a couple. If you listen to Tonks, she calls Remus 'sweetheart'. And there are a few more little things as well.
In DH Tonks wants to tell Harry the 'good news', which is either that they finally married, or that she is pregnant. I'm much happier now that I've figured this out. xD

LOVE your HP collection VampSlayer. I'm predominantly a Whedon collector but that doesn't stop me from having a few of the Harry Potter stuffs, spin-off books (Fantastic Beasts, Quidditch, Beadle the Bard) a Marauder's Map and the house pins... SO jealous of your excellent selection though I agree with everyone Emma was amazing. My boy laughed at me so much because I cried in the first 5 minutes when Hermy used obliviate on her parents... So emotional!

I'm seeing this on Wednesday, super excited. And VS, your collection is awesome... I only have 1-7 hardcover, an HP journal I got when I was 8, and some odds and ends from the HBP/DH midnight book releases. I want mooore, though.
