Sunday's episode ("The Suitcase") was probably my favorite yet. It was oh so brilliant.

I'm a few episodes behind, but I'm trying to catch up. ;D
I'm loving that Sally is getting some attention this season, and it really shows that it had been building up to her mental state throughout last season.
I loooooved that scene when Don's secretary(forget her name *facepalm*) threw stuff at his paintings, and called him a bad man. It was just so great. She was all calmed, somewhat, and just lashes out at him.
More Anna Camp. <3 I love you Anna, but True Blood needs you back ASAP.
Betty and Henry's relationship is amazing. She wears the pants a lot of the time, which I adore, but Henry keeps Betty reasonable. Perfect match. Looking at S1 Betty to S4 Betty, I love her character growth. She's so independent now. And January Jones is beautiful.
... What happened to Don's whore of a teacher, from S3? I kinda liked her, for some reason.
The thing about Mad Men that I love is this: It makes me like Don, even though I hate him for what he's done. He's been a cheating, lying, sneaky, asshole for almost the whole show, yet he's still awesome, and a good character.
I do ask one thing - Please kill someone soon. I need a good death. Morbid, I know, but I'm craving a little Joss'd'ness. I've been needing another shocking death since Bennett, God bless her. RIP </3

Loved the finale! I think I might be the only one but I loved it (at least according to my TWOP viewings where people were very hateful towards it and also decided to call the actress that plays Megan horseface).
SPOILERS ARE GOING TO FOLLOW, BUT I FIGURE SINCE IT HAS AIRED IT'S FINE TO POST THEM WITHOUT TAGS!
I think the central complaint about this finale is Don choosing Megan over Faye, which seems like a completely ridiculous, random and arbitrary choice. And it is. That's the point. The way they set up the engagement shows that Don went for the easy choice, Peggy and Joan mocking it, Joan mocking it to her husband, Don using the real Don's ring, and getting engaged to someone at Disneyland which pretty much represents the pinnacle of fantasy land? For the first time in a very long time, arguably all season, Don was having an easy-going, great time and he let this fantasy overcome him. Megan ultimately represents the easy/fantastical way in life, someone who adores him and won't challenge him, the easier romance. Plus he can just shove that Dick Whitman secret away again, he doesn't have to confront it.
But I don't want to be mean to Megan. I actually really like her. "I fall down all the time." was and still is amazing. I think the primary reason why he likes her is because she's so good with the children. They like her, she likes them back, she doesn't freak the eff out when a kid spills a milkshake. Once again, she makes life seem much easier. And she jumped in head first into the child-rearing and seems to love it. Compare it to Faye, who clearly seemed uncomfortable with Sally and was way more focused on Don himself rather than the children come with the package (which is fair enough, not insulting Faye, I love her too). Megan once again represents something easier and simple, she can easily fit into his life whereas Faye is not necessarily so.
Now unto Faye. It is clearly no coincidence that at the start of the episode she suggests that he confronts his past and then at the end of the episode, he doesn't choose her. Faye really wants him to confront his past and if there's one thing Don is absolutely terrified of it's his past. Sure he may be acting like he wants to move past it, but look again at who he chose, Megan, he can keep living his life as Don Draper rather than Faye trying to make him consolidate Dick Whitman. He let his Don Draper guise slip throughout the season and look what happened, he became a raging alcoholic that blacks out for days. Something he did not enjoy. So sure he could struggle with it and try and move past it with Faye, or he could go back to his fantasy land of Don Draper with Megan. And I definitely do not think it is coincidental that Don's phone was black and Faye's was a pristine white when they broke up. It symbolizes their relationship so well, Faye is in many ways a source of conflict for him, but something that is ultimately better for him, but he turned it away.
I don't like how mean they're writing Betty which is my one complaint. I do hope that next season they will begin to explain why she hates Glen so much, cause there definitely is a reason. But the fact that she slept on Sally's bed when Henry confronted her is really telling of where she's at; an impertinent little child. Not a fan of how far they went with it, but I'm REALLY hoping they'll come to grips with her character next season.
So yes, I can understand why people dislike it. Faye is freaking awesome and he is a huge dick to her. I don't think you're supposed to really like him in the finale. He confronted his past a little bit, hated what he saw, and went back into retreat with Megan. I actually really like both of them, but I don't see Megan lasting unless she becomes more than the little fantasy girl. And I want her too. I think she's a genuinely interesting, developed character and someone I could see becoming a stronger force within the workforce. I would love it if he marries Megan as a form of fantasy and is then saddened to find that she's going to be more than just a little secretary who is affirmative of his every action.
So yeah love it. Maybe Faye and Megan should both just dump Don and become lovers with each other. That would make me happy (and not in some gross horny guy way, I'm gay, so I don't care) I love the two of them all the time while Don pisses me off many a time.
Sorry for the long post, but I feel that there is A LOT happening in this finale and would love to hear other people's interpretations!
