Oh my gosh, I had not heard about this. It's so sad. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends.

This is just awful. I can't believe how fast it happened. I mean, I've known that he was sick for years, but I never knew how serious it was He was always my favorite character on ANGEL. Watching ANGEL is going to be a lot more painful than it ever has been. I just watched "The House Always Wins" and drank a seabreeze in his honor. May he rest in peace.

Ugh, been meaning to come over here. I'm devastated and second that sea-breeze. I was just commenting on the blog about how everyone at Buffyfest knows: all I ever wanted was to interview Andy Hallett. That was the one for me, he was my fave. I really wish we had the chance...I would've liked to ask him to sing. *sadness* We blacked out the blog for a while in honor of Andy's memory. buffyfest.blogspot.com/2009/03/moment-of-silence.htmlWe'll miss you, green!

I gotta say, this news hit me so hard considering I have never met the man. Lorne was one of my favorite characters on any show, and Andy brought such humanity to it. Plus, he was just so charismatic and entertaining to watch.
Rest in Peace, Andy.

Thats really sad... I was never a big fan of Lorne but it’s so sad and awful … when Don S. Davis (George Hammond, Stargate) died his character was also killed off and had a ship renamed after him to dedicate it to the actor and character. I wonder if anything like this will happened in the comics to Lorne. ?

I am in utter shock and disbelief over this. The world has been robbed of a true talent. I am reminded of Willow's words about Tara, "it took her light away from me, away from the world." And this is how I feel about Andy. He was a true beacon of light to his fans and will be sorely missed. I am just so thankful that I got my chance to meet him. In honor of Andy's memory I have been watching my favorite Lorne episodes and drinking sea breezes (Lorne's preferred drink of choice). Lorne was my absolute favorite character on Angel. Rest in peace dear friend. You will be missed.

God, that's just horrible news! He was a great actor, an amazing singer, and by all accounts, a wonderful person. He'll certainly be missed. Found this on YouTube and thought it perfectly captured what we all loved about Andy and Lorne. I watched it with a (bittersweet) smile, then did the Dance of Sadness...

I only just found out about it when I was reading the Angel section and Nick Runge mentioned it. I had no idea he had a heart condition and it's very saddening to lose such a wonderful person Rest in peace, Andy. We'll miss you

Sad news, it's going to get harder and harder to rewatch Angel thinking Glenn's dead, Andy's dead. I wonder if they'll do a tribute in the Angel comics? Or keep his character on?

Hallett brought such light and energy to a dark show like Angel, Lorne was always one of my favourite characters.

This is such sad news, I don't really know what to say.
I was watching Angel just before I saw this news. It's really saddening.
I really hope that Andy Hallett is mentioned in the credits of Dollhouse or something, like they've done with Glenn Quinn and others in the past on Whedon shows. It would just be a nice touch.

Ow.
I can't believe my second thought was; "I really wish I had gone to a convention to meet him" instead of, "His poor family".
This bites. This really, really bites.

It's just so sad, he was so young and had so much more to do. He made the character Lorne who he was. His acting was phenomenol as well as singing, it's a shame it will be no more. My heart goes out to his family and friends.

Just read about this a couple of hours ago. Couldn't believe it; very, very sad. Always one of my favourite characters, and seeing and reading him in interviews and such he always seemed like one of the nicest and happiest people on Earth
