Was anyone else here obsessed with R.L. Stine's "Goosebumps" series back in the 90's? I certainly was. I own all 62 of the original Goosebumps novels and a lot of the spin off novels as well. I even loved the T.V. series that ran on Nickelodeon. Before I was old enough to get terrified by Stephen King, R.L. Stine terrified me plenty with Goosebumps. Loved those books. I think a movie would be interesting, and would be easy enough to write. Nearly every Goosebumps novel could work as a movie in some shape or another. Here's the link where I read the news: joblo.com/arrow/index.php?id=12209If I had to pick a novel for a movie to be based on then it would have to be my favorite Goosebumps novel:

Creepy dummies... Those things give me the wiggins..
But yeah, I was obsessed with the Goosebump books when I was young. I read them all. I haven't read one for quite some time now though, but it's cool that they're going to make a movie.

Another movie? They made tons of movies based off those books. My fave was Welcome to Dead House, but as I got older, I found the books to be lame kiddie versions of horror movies.

Those were TV show episodes Anyway, I can't think of the name, but involved two kids who visited this castle but when they went back to the hotel, they weren't registered... Edit: I found the name. A Night in Terror Tower.

Hm... I dont know what book I would want the movie based on. I was never a collector, unlike my cousin who has every book. I want it to be something new, something original. I really hope they make it scary. Goosebumps has been airing on Catoon Network for a while now and when I watch an episode, I feel so stupid about being frightened when watching these as a child.

I don't believe this will be made. A Goosebumps movie was announced for the first time when I was ten. Now, I'm turning twenty-one on Saturday... and I'm still waiting. Ain't going to happen.

How awful was this?? LOL! But of course I watched it like every other kid at the time. I love in the beginning when the G flies past the billboard and the woman's hair goes flat. Oh no, anything but that!!

lol R.L. Stine's only giving them permission to make a movie so it'll revive his career. Notice how most of the Goosebumps fan have long since grown up and moved on.

I don't know about that, TMS, he's still pretty popular with kids in the 7-12 age group with the different series's he's currently printing out. Goosebumps still dominates the "Favorite Series" kid section in Barnes & Noble.

I never really read any of the Goosebumps books. I was just getting to be a bit old for them when they started coming out, but I did read a lot of the Fear Street books. I would love to see a movie based of one those books.
