....And they've traced it ever since!
OMG Has anyone ever noticed this? Crazy, huh? LOL, i feel a little robbed of my childhood. (sorry if this has already been posted, it didn't come up in a search)

Huh, never noticed that before. Looks like Jungle Book, Robin Hood and Aristocats were the greatest culprits though.
I'm happy to see there weren't any from my favorite movies - Little Mermaid and Lion King. And even though Beauty and the Beast borrowed that dance scene from Sleeping Beauty, at least it was so simplistic a concept that it doesn't really irk me.
Some of those copies were so blatant that it was sad.

I know. it wasn't just a couple of moves, but the ENTIRE dance at the start got me! And who knew that just by changing the bear's clothes from hat/tunic to grass skirt that it was virtually the same bear?! Haha that NEVER hit me until i saw 'em side by side. But yeah, the princesses dancing with the princes can completely be overlooked because that is the epidomy of the "every little girl's dream" moment, and needed to be in all of those movies.

Thanks for posting this!!
It does seem that they traced previous scenes from movies in some cases, which is pretty sad. Oh well, what are ya gonna do?

How rude of Disney!. I never noticed it before, but because they're the best, I'll let them off!. Wonder why they did it though? we're they really that broke?!.

If none of us noticed this till now.. I guess they did a pretty damn good job then, right?
and plus the characters are completely different, I'm sure it still took alot of work re-animating them.

Not real fair to say they only made one movie, and since then all they did was trace it. Cause, hello: the dances certainly look the same, but i'm pretty sure the poses, movents, blah blah blah aren't. And if they were, that'd still be alot of animating to do.

Pretty shocking!!! I mean overall it's only a few movies with extremely similar dances and moves but still. Wow. I guess they really copied some stuff from one movie to another.
Funny that the extract is in French, the song I mean.

Considering I never noticed that until just now I can totally over look the re-use of certain animations. Besides, it took them years to draw (by hand) a full length animated feature, so I don't blame them for cutting corners with specific scenes.
Plus I don't see why anyone would be that upset over the traces, it's not like they copied every scene movie to movie. And there were several disney movies not in this video, so it's extremely inaccurate to claim Disney only made one film.

Lol I watched this a few days ago, made me chuckle.
I have this massive hatred for Disneys Robin Hood and Jungle Book films so I was very happy to have proof to show my housemate who loves robin hood why it sucks so bad.lol.
As long as Aladdin doesnt get sabotaged for me Im good.
Man I love Aladdin.

This was done during the decade leading up to The Black Cauldron which was a bad time for the company. So I can imagine the lengths they went to save time. I wonder if they simple re-used the same cells?
Did you guys know that the company would have gone under if not for The Little Mermaid? That film began a new renaissance-era-revival for Disney. With features Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, The Lion King, Pocahontas, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, Hercules, and Mulan to follow.
Has anyone heard about their return to traditional animation with the upcoming The Princess and the Frog?

OMG you got that from the special features of The Little Mermaid Platinum Edition, didn't you? If not.. then boy do I feel stupid.

I'd rather watch an old recycled Disney film than any of the newer ones tbh. Even Lion King is utter garbage.
