Issues #1-6: Angels & Demons Issues #7-10: Old Ghosts Issue #11: Who the Hell is Eli Bard? Issues #12-13: Suicide Leper Issues #14-16: Messiah War crossover with Cable Issues #17-20: Not Forgotten Yes, it's another X-Men thread, but this one deals with the X-Force team consisting of Wolverine, X-23, Archangel, Domino, Warpath and Vanisher, which started in early 2008 and is now currently in a crossover with Cable called Messiah War Anyone else read this series?

I love this series! I'm a big fan of Kyle and Yost's previous title New X-Men and this is brilliant as well.
I've actually dropped Uncanny X-Men, because I dislike the superficial direction it's taken. X-Force feels much more like the "core title" because it's the only team book actually following up on the events of Messiah Complex. X-Force is actually doing a better job of keeping the franchise together than the supposed flagship title is.
The artwork is beautiful and the characters are really well-written. I've only read the first TPB so far, but I can't wait for the second one because it looks even better. Vanisher in particular looks hilarious.

It's a pretty good series. I bought it at first cuz it had Wolverine and X-23 in it, but I quickly fell in love with the series. The whole thing with the Purifiers, Bastion and the Legacy Virus is quite interesting and I'm keen to find out what happens with the Messiah War arc

I also love how they took Angel, who's been a stale character for years now, and made him really cool and interesting again. His whole split personality is a great idea, especially since it affects how he acts in other books (having to act normally and hide his Archangel persona from his friends).
This is also the only series where the New X-Men have been satisfyingly followed up on since their series ended. Elixer and X-23 are main characters, and Dust, Hellion, and Surge are making guest appearances. I just hope Kyle and Yost don't kill them off because they're the best new characters to hit the Marvel Universe in decades.

I think its quite interesting how they've done that with him and that it's pretty cool that he can change into his Archangel persona. It makes him so much more interesting and a helluva lot cooler

I just bought X-Force #14 on eBay this morning, part 3 of the Messiah War. Stryfe confronts X-Force & Cable. Should be quite awesome actually. The whole X-Force series has been very interesting in the last several issues, with Eli Bard's plan with Caliban and Bastion's plan with the Legacy Virus. Can't wait to see the team come back and tackle those situations

I bought the first 13 issues, I think a few months back ofr 30$. I got through the first four issues, but couldn't get into the story that much. I haven't touched them since.

I just spent my night reading all the way up to issue 15! I don't know why I didn't like this series before, but now I love it.

Have you got the Cable issues for the Messiah War arc?

Yep! But the art work in that issue was aweful, IMO.

Yeah, looking at the X-Force art, then looking at the Cable art, you can see that the X-Force art is so much better. It's much more defined and looks a hell of a lot better

Okay, I've added a picture, plus issue titles and a poll. The poll is about X-23, but I'm interested in hearing what you guys have got to say. I wanna know your thoughts on the issue of X-23 and Wolverine Anyhow...Messiah War is drawing to a close. There's only two issues left and then, the team return to the present in the 4-part 'Not Forgotten'. Also, what are your thoughts on what direction X-Force should take, if any?

I voted for the first choice! And we need Hellion to join Elixir in this awesome team! They are my two favorite male characters, so it will be good to see them after New X-Men.

I'm going with the third choice, cuz that's how I see it really, cuz in a way, X-23 is like Wolverine's sister. And that's the short version of it

X-23 goes back to the moment Boom-Boom is shot, and saves her by killing Selene.
Angel, Wolverine, and Elixir go to save Hellion and Surge. Elixir saves Hellion before he explodes, but Surge starts to. Angel flies Surge to Elixir so he can try and stop her too.
But then we see at the end of the issue, Dom standing up, and the electric explosion is heading her way. Rayne and her lover wolf guy are also attacked by some giant things(forgot what they were called).
