YAY. We came 5th. Thats the best we have done in ages. Im glad Norway won. My favourites were Norway, Iceland, Germany and Armania ;D. If either of those four one I still would have been happy. I dont get why Turkey did so well, I didnt like them. P.S. Did anyone see the violinist elbow Jade as she was walking down the steps? (UK) Turkey did so well because there are a lot of immigrants from Turkey all over Europe and I'm prettty sure they all go crazy on their phone on this voting thing. I never knew that, thanks. I thought there was going to be a professional judging pannel this year that counted for 50% of the voting. Guess I was wrong.

i think overall iceland had the better song and singer, imo gotta love the power ballads!
romania was my second fav (it wasnt really a powerful enough song to win tho), and turkey and azberjain were good for the cheese!

But I checked out "France in the Eurovision contest" on Wikipedia. And it says that over the years, France has given most votes to the UK, Israel, Turkey and Portugal. I mean this is not random AT ALL (except for the UK). Those three countries have very significant communities in France. EDIT: btw yes THERE WAS a professional judging panel.

If there was a pannel then why were they not mentioned and why were we not told our votes??
EDIT: Did anyone see tatu on stage in the first semi final performance. You've gotta love tatu ;D

I cant believe Norway won with that many votes.
W.T.F
I thought he was rubbish to be frank. Great violinist but craappppp singer and not worthy of those votes in the slightest. I was so bloody angry.lol. But it wouldnt be eurovision if it didnt end with me screaming at the screen at how moronic the voting is. haha.
I loved armenia so much, I have no idea why, just the bit when they went like 'Lets go sister!' had me laughing. Ukraine was pretty wierd as usual which I enjoyed.
Russia, the one with her face aging in the background.....probably in my eyes one of the worst performances in eurovision of ALL time.
Beyond bloody atrocious, the fact that her dads a billionaire sort of explains how she got into the final...also her teeth...with such a rich dad surely shed be able to sort her teeth out. What a mess. Feel bad for russia, seeing as they were hosting and ended up with the worst act.
I also found it highly confusing how iceland got so far, I found their act incredibly unmemorable and boring.

I agree with you stakey. Norway was good but not that good. The main reason he won is because he is sooo cute

I just downloaded the Armenia song. ahahahaha.
I love it. Its so typical eurovision, reminds me of Ruslana 'wild dancers' all those years ago.
'Wild dancers' is by far the best moment in eurovision history along with Lordi.lol.
'GO wild DANCERS!!'

Haha. I missed the semi finals although I am determined to watch the final tonight. I'm dissapointed that the UK arn't putting in as much effort as last year, but oh well.
I think our Irish have an okay chance this year, thats a suprise lol

I think this is what makes the Eurovision contest so special... 99% of the songs are supposed to be terrible.
My predictions for this year? The UK, Ireland, France, Germany, Belgium, Italy and Spain won't win. Because the western countries never win.

I never know any of the songs except for the UKs, cos I never watch any of it except for the final. So I always look forward to seeing the other acts.

I didn't have time to watch the contest last night but I was surprised Germany won because western countries usually never win. And her voice was indeed annoying (I saw the video on youtube).
I also find it extremely disappointing that every country doesn't sing in its own language. Almost every country presents an English song except for France and Spain.

In the last 10 years I think Finland, Norway, Greece and now Germany have been the only western winners. Which isn't really that bad. Eastern European countries always seem to try harder in the Eurovision.
Germany was an easy call for me. I really didn't like many of the entries other than Germany and Belgium. Azerbaijan was alright. I thought it was funny they spent $3million on that entry though.

Germany WON !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!, might as well the UK just have won, the Germany act wasn't the strongest. I wanted Belgium too win.

Ireland were completely robbed. I'm not just saying that because I love here but they deserved way better than 5th last.

I don't know what's wrong with France. The French always send the worst singers they have. It's like they're putting all their efforts in losing.

I loved Ukraine, Israel, Iceland, Azerbaijan, Turkey (don't kill me) and Germany
I HATED Serbia, UK (Josh was good, but the song was so terrible there was nothing he could do) and Spain
I don't like Graham Norton - he was so obviously biased. He unfairly insulted everyone thoer than UK and Germany (becasue he knew they would win and didn't want to sound liek an idiot (which he is)he also pretended like he didn't know who would win, which is annoying because the British audience are not fools. I think the BBC were telling himwhat he could and could not say.) I miss Terry Wogan.
