has anyone read it? i'm only about halfway, but i love it. the thing that first drew me to it was Tara's ressurection but the rest of it is really good too. the only problem is it keep switching between Buffy, Willow, Giles, Xander, Oz, Faith, assorted demons, etc. And i keep wanting to skip ahead ot find out what happens to characters!

I've read Dark Congress, it is a pretty good book, although I preferred Queen of the Slayers. Where are you up to? Don't worry, I won't tell you what happens.

I wanna read both of those books! ;D you should they're both very good. Christopher Golden should have been a writer for the TV show, he did LOADS of books and comics. he's really got the voices of every character pretty much down.

Out of the two, which one should I read first? Or does it not matter?

Out of the two I found that Queen of the Slayers was a more realistic version of what would have happened to the character, Dark Congress is still agreat read though.

About 2 weeks ago I had two problems. 1) All this talk about a reboot had put me on a new Buffy kick with the want for new media. But sadly there wasn't any. 2) At the same time I finished the book I was reading and needed a new one. Then it struck me. It was pure genius. I could get a Buffy book!!! I remember hearing about this book and thought perfect. Also since I'm a government/poli sci major the congress/political part intrigued me as well. So I borrowed it from the library.
The book itself... It was entertaining. A good read. The day I started reading it was basically all I did that day. Reading about all the demons was great mental imagery.
But in the end I felt like the book should have been atleast another 100 pages longer. I would have loved to have read about Buffy being the arbiter. Giving her something to settle and show her skill before jumping into the action of the novel. Also would have helped flush some things out making the novel seem less like it just jumped from A to B to C.

the one thing that bothered me about this book was how it kept changing viewpoints. i really wanted to skip ahead and read about Tara and Willow's story the whole time, but instead i had ot read through everyone else's. i get that's to keep the suspense up and everything, but still...

Hmm, started Dark Congress last night! I got two chapters in. I didn't find Tara's introduction realistic at all though. :/ That is the only thing that bothers me right now. I think it should have made more sense, and have been more emotional.... Even though they started to cry super hard. Idk, maybe I was expecting too much... It seems pretty entertaining so far though.

Thanks everyone--I've been very intrigued by this one, so it's good to see what other people think about it.
