Thanks for posting! Hopefully we'll see the variant covers soon (and start our cover contest).

Ohh...interesting...it always comes down to Spike vs. Angel, doesn't it? LOL. I'm curious to see the variants, as well.

I think it is supposed to be Lindsey behind Wesley. SInce the end came about around the same time that Lorne shot him, I figured he would show up - since his WR&H contract was never revoked.

I think the guy is Knox. ------------------------------------ The 13th Day of Christmas blog.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=blog.view&friendID=335358&blogID=341455235Our present to you: an advanced peak at ANGEL:AFTER THE FALL number 5! You can see it over at comicbookresources.com, or just by clicking my pictures section in myspace.
It's based on Kevin Maguire's cover for JUSTICE LEAGUE 1, only this one's cooler because it has vampires and telepathic fish and wereladies and dragons.
A couple of people we haven't seen yet, huh? Pretty sweet.
And no, this scene does not happen in the book. At no point do all these characters huddle up and stare at you. But it IS fitting. You'll see why.
Who's the dude next to Gunn? You've seen him before, on the TV show. He hasn't been in the comic yet, but will make his ATF debut in issue 4.
Oh, and check out my myspace comments sections for an amazing Christmas card starring Spike. I'm headed out the door so I'll talk about it more later, but it made me smile on Christmas morning, and that's swell.
Gotta go for now, have a good day one and all.

The more I look at it, the more he seems to resemble Groo - in his "Angel" style of hair and clothing. I think his hair is a bit too short to be Lindsey; which I thought he might be in an earlier post.

Odd seeing the group shot with that crew.
Lorne eh? Well he had to be in it somewhen.
It sickens me to see Gwen getting more attention. 3 episodes with her was more than enough time erg
Nina looks terrible. Should've let Nina escape like Angel wanted. In terms of blondes, Kate > Nina.
Wesley is pretty badly drawn too. It looks like Spike from the 50's flashback in "The Girl in Question" lol
I agree that that mystery man has a Groo-ish look to him.

Aw I love Gwen. Why don't you?
I find it funny that the mystery guy looks more like Wesley then the actual Wesley. Some of the likenesses are terrible, especially Nina, Gwen and Illyria. We can't even tell who that guy is. I love the concept of the cover and I think it looks REALLY cool, but it just those likenesses...

I love Gwen too! I wonder why she has blue highlights in her hair.

I never dug Gwen. Just seemed like a one-dimensional Faith wannabe with X men powers to me.

I really like Gwen. I wonder if she will have any influence over Gunn - since they have shared some tender moments in the past.

I've thought this over a few times, and I'll bet the mystery guy was drawn to look different than usual to keep us guessing. If not, then Brian would have already come out and said who it was and jokingly laugh at us for not knowing in the first place.

What a GREAT variant cover. I have to say that I love the variant covers better than the regular ones.

I think the mystery man looks like Knox, I mean for all we know he could have the same contract with W&H that Wesley does.
