After the Fall overall seems like it is going to be good and the story is excellant but I hate the art it is to dark the likness is terrible and the front cover do not even compare to Jo Chen/Jon Foster's work. Wesley looks nothing like Alexis Denisof Gwen and Nina look like Hookers/prostitutes and why did connor refer to a bunch of runaways from LA a few demons as his family. He would never have said that on the show he doesn't even know them. I'm giving it a chance as I reall ywant to see what happened in the battle. I think it is issue 5 and it is called "first night". This is a whole issue dedicated to the night of the battle, I'm guessing we will find out who vamped Gunn as well. Anway I just glad we have an official continuation to both Buffy and Angel. We just need more Firefly either that sequel everyone is talking about of comics. (I would prefer another movie though) Oh and the Ripper TV Movie not far behind. Woo You don't read a lot of comics do you. Open you eyes the art is amazing. -Wesley looks like season 1 Wesley. That is what he is supposed to look like. -Gwen/Nina don't look like hookers and prostitutes. Nina is drawn extremely well and they already explained why she was acting weird. Gwen's boobs are bigger I will give you that one but that doesn't make the art bad. -Conner was always weird about his family and I think what he ment was they needed to stick together because all they have is each other.

Is that Wesley or Angel in that cover? The suit suggests Wesley.

I think it's Angel, he's got the whole long coat over a white shirt thing going on.

Gwen/Nina don't look like hookers and prostitutes. Nina is drawn extremely well and they already explained why she was acting weird. Gwen's boobs are bigger I will give you that one but that doesn't make the art bad. Whilst I think the Angel artwork has a lot going for it, I do think there's something in these accusations regarding Nina and Gwen; the same applies to Spike's harem of demons. Joss always said of Fray that he wanted her to look like a real woman, physiologically possible in that she wouldn't have a pin waist supporting ginormous breasts. I think Nina especially falls into this category of the ridiculous, and - whilst I don't think a likeness to the actress is necessary - it did take me a while to deduce who the character was from the initial sketches we saw; I can't say Nina was particularly high on that list... I do have a small gripe with some of the demons we've seen, too; I realise LA is supposed to be in some sort of Hell dimension but, as with Buffy, I don't think the demons we've seen so far really gel with the demons we saw on the show. I know the show was limited to men in rubber suits, but for me that was always part of these shows' charm; a bit of consistency wouldn't go amiss. MB x

Look at the actress who plays Nina. IMO Nina has been drawn quite well - she is as well-endowed as Cordelia and I think the comic is pretty faithful to the character. As far as the demon lovelies in Spike's mansion - LA is one place where I would expect to find a variety of beautiful women including voluptuous women - and especially if this is the abode of a movie mogul or a Hugh Hefner type. I think this group of femmes helps to set Spike's cover as the "devil may care" rake he says he his. Other demon lords haven't seemed to be bothering him - perhaps he is not seen as a threat.

Does anyone know what "April 22 1979" "I'm waiting for you" refers to? It is on the blue cover with the 2 Angels behind Angel. Faint but readable writing. Could this be the date that Angel went to Henery High to see Buffy the day she was called? Anyone know when that was supposed to have happened?

Buffy is in high school in the 90's when we first meet in in the show, and her time at Henery was only supposed to be... what a year or so before.

If Buffy were 15 in 1979, that'd make her 44 now. I don't think she's that old, lol

According to TFAW, the release date is February 27th, but from what I've heard, they tend to put the release date as a week later, so possibly February 20th. We don't know for sure yet.

I think this will be about, Angel gathering up all his allies for the battle, and then the 5th one will be the battle. And the blurb says Spike will also be choosing what side he's on. I'm also interested in what Illyria chooses to do.

Illyria chooses to SMASH! No, I'm joking, I have no idea.

I'm really confused about the release date now. Does it come out this Wednesday or next week?
