Wow, what a touching cover. The artist really captured Connor stunningly with such a small amount of lines. Very nice. Is Angel dead?? :S I don't want Angel to be dead.

^ Yeah. I actually went back and edited TPB out cause I realised how inaccurate it is. HC = Hard Cover. TPB = Trade Paper Back.

Hi, new here, no sig or avvie yet. Quick question: Where is the "limited to 16 issues" info coming from? Is it reliable? I will be a sad panda -- I just discovered the comics and am really grooving on this new story. I don't want it to end, and there are so many great characters on the team that I feel like it could go on forever with very little problem. Quick note: The cover for this issue looks like an interesting variation on the "Pieta" pose, which is here: Everyone probably already knows this, but the statue is of Mary holding Christ's dead body after he has been taken down from the cross. The pose is one of the most copied in popular art. The Connor/Angel take is interesting in that it swaps the original in two ways: First, it's father and son, not mother and son; second, the son holds the father's "dead" body instead of the other way around. That Batman/Jason cover was also an all-male Pieta, though I think the Connor/Angel cover did a much better job of capturing the emotions evoked by the statue. (er...can't get the pic link to work. Any suggestions?)(Thanks for fixing it Cowboy!)

Quick question: Where is the limited to 16 issues info coming from? Brian Lynch. Oh yeah. Since the beginning of "After the Fall," it's been made clear to the fans that it is a limited and finite series with a definite beginning, middle, and end. It was initially 12 issues but has been expanded to 16. It is unclear if the ANGEL story will continue past "After the Fall," but seeing as its such a popular story, I'm sure it will. But "After the Fall" itself is a story that will, indeed, end.

With it being a short run it is more likely that something will come after it is finished and I hope that Brian comes along with it!

Oh God, the second cover is of a grave. Yikes poor Angel, methinks. It's the only person who Spike would probably throw his cigarette butt on.

Ok so the second cover (which I love) kinda shows that Angel the Human dies somehow.. but we know that won't last long because we still have three more issues!
