I know. I have no excuse! I think it's just one of those things that I keep telling myself I need to do, and I keep putting it off. Okay, I'm streaming it from youtube in the background now... Act 1. Here we go... Yay! Let us know how you like it. ;D

Somehow I've managed to put up my spoiler blinders because beyond the basic premise of the story, I still didn't know much about it. It feels like there's the usual story we expect from Joss, using humor to mask commentary about good and evil. The fan girls/fan guy were a really funny. (We do the weird stuff! Haha!) Captain Hammer reminds me of all of todays celebutantes out there, who feign interest in good causes more often than not for good PR or for ulterior motives, except he's like their train of thought. In song form. Anyway, I really enjoyed it and I'm SO glad I did. Long time coming, I'll look for the soundtrack.

I love the fan boy/girls too, they're so hilarious.

Just realized I never said how I found Dr. Horrible. I was a few months after it came out and I had been a Buffy fan for a few years. I was reading about Buffy online when I came across Joss and read about his other works. I eventually came to Dr. Horrible and said "A musical about a super hero starring NPH? Sounds awesome!" I then pre-ordered it on Amazon without ever watching it online.

I was on itunes only two days ago looking at showtunes and it said other users had bought Dr Horrible, I'd heard the name here on slayalive and knew it had NPH and Joss Whedonso got two of the songs, loved them immediately and watched the whole thing.

When I discovered the Buffyfest blog I noticed they also talked about Dr Horrible. I went and found it ith the idea of just watching the first bit and then doing everythign else I was supposed to do that evening. But I loved it too much and watched the whole thing through twice!

The last four years we have had a Can't Stop The Serentity event in my city. Last year they screened it after Serenity, Ala Rocky Horror Picture Show. Sporks and all. I hadn't laughed that hard in a long time. It was a real treat to be introduced to it on the big screen. Now I listen to all the time on my phone.

Huh, I thought I replied to this one already. Guess not. Anyway, I got introduced to Dr. Horrible because one I heard about it through a couple BtVS forums and two I was looking up things that Joss Whedon had done post BtVS and this was one of them. I'm always willing to give Joss Whedon projects a chance.

I was obsessing over Buffy and had just watched once more, with feeling for the first time. I went online to continue the obsessing, and found an interview with Joss, talking about Dr. horrible. I thought, hey, the title alone was awesome, and with the added bonus of Joss Whedon, I must watch this now! So I watched it... twice because I loved it and proceeded to force everyone I know to watch it. It was great because everyone else liked it as well and I had something that I was allowed to obsess over without being told to shut up.

My mom told me about it as she read an article in the newspaper when it first came out and she saw that it was "the guy who wrote Buffy" so called and told me.
