Hey, thanks... So he didn't say anything about her?

Hey, thanks... So he didn't say anything about her? The angel dude (James I think) told Angel that Cordelia would like him to help James free the other Potentates (angels). Don't know if it's true or not, but I'm leaning towards more the not. Seems like the story will take the cliche route and have the person that seems like an ally turn out to be evil, while the people who seem evil turn out to be good.

Ok, thanks ... ya got to love that cliché But one would think that you would have to be a Higher Being longer than 1 year to Be given the power and authority to send messages and not be able to do it one’s self, so I am not really believing James, not saying that he is Evil but just in it for the greater good a lot like Jasmine was and he knows Angel's weakness. So if Cordy does appear I wonder if it will be the real one or just an imposter.

Find out next issue. I just hope that the whole Cordelia thing is handled properly. With the way Kelley Armstrong is going with her bad writing, I'd hate for her to screw up Cordy

I wasn't too fond of this issue. My first instinct was right, this arc sucks. Sorry, thats a little harsh but I don't care. Kelley Armstrong isn't doing the series any justice. I kept thinking I was looking at Kate when Gwen stalked down Dez. I liked the demon fight outside the hospital. I hope Lynch skips right over this and act like this disaster never happened. Gwen's dialog was great in this issue. I'm not too sure what to think about James and the Potentates. Now I'm totally confused on what happened with the Powers That Be during Hell A. I would like to see more of Dez. I must admit, I am interested in her background and what happened to Penelope and how that relates to what she's doing now.

This issue basically seems like Kelly realized that majority of the public who reads these, HATES them, so she decided to make the characters more like themselves, but still failed miserably. Connor doesnt look like Connor, hell he doesnt even look like a BOY. Gwen started to get a tad more like herself with the stalking she did, but it was just too easy. the show and ATF actually had shocks and surprises and this section of the series is so amateur and childlike. Oh, here we go, we are going to tell you her backstory without any real mystery to it. And that doesnt even touch on how LAME and confusing her backstory is! And what the hell with Kate still acting like a cop, the first two issues of this, she didnt. Now her character went back and lost the progression she had in the series?
And how the hell does Dez the Panther sink her teeth into Gwen and throw her around yet she doesnt bleed?

Two more issues to go and the whole travesty will be over. What were IDW thinking when they hired Kelley and Dave? Two people who had no idea about Angel? What were they thinking??

What were they thinking?? who knows??? money? I can't really put down Kelley to much... she might be the last person to write about Cordelia so I can't hate her for that... but for Kate (the art) and the rest of Aftermath I can.

I didn't even waste money on this issue. I read the first two and no offense, but if you can't make the first issues even a little bit interesting I'm not going to keep throwing good money away on more crap. I'll wait for #23.
I know a few people here are getting something out of the story, I'm sincerely glad for them and I mean no disrespect. But for me Aftermath is a huge failure.

I wish I was more like you. I can't control myself when I see a new Angel comic...I just have to take it home and read it. Although Aftermath has been very slow in picking up a good storyline and such, I have a feeling the ending is gonna be epic.
#22 will be a blast. I don't know why I feel this way but I view issues 18-22 like an episode put together, which is why it is failing. An episode has boring parts, funny parts, action parts etc and the writer is doing it like that. The first two issues were very, I don't want to say boring, but you know yourself how they were and issue 20 was a great improvement. I think we're gonna see a lot of ACTION in 21 & 22 and can not wait XD

You know what, I hope your right diabeticdude, because I really like reading Angel comics. If things pick up and the last few issues are EPIC or at least interesting I might consider buying the tradeback. But the story will have to improve a lot before I put more money down.

SPOILERS! for issue 20
Like the plot with Gwen and Kate playing detective. So tragic what happens to Dez as a child, your heart just bleeds for her. Nice to see Angel hacking his way through the demons outside the hospital. So who are the guys who enslaved Dez and her siblings? WR&H? The guys behind the Cyborgs in Lineage? If these angels are so great how come they ended up kidnapped? Don't like the way he's drawn in this ep looks like some sort of boyband pin-up?
