Hahaha yeah... I really enjoyed the preview, but Kate calling it "the Hell Moment" was pretty insanely weird. I was expecting her to gather all of the rabid people they're housing and command them to fight via a telepathic fish.

Wow, this art is so drastically different. Can't even tell it's from Ross. Still not enthused about this series (even though #20 was an improvement), as I am looking forward to 23+ and ONLY HUMAN more at this point, but I'll still pick up the last two issues.

Never listen to the TFAW dates, Thorn. Ryall's blog and Previews is the place to be.

So when is it out for sure?
And I love that the art has gone up. Angel actually looks like Angel, not like the Hulk.

Just finished reading it, and it was "OK" is my opinion.
The Good:
The story seems to be wrapping up, the art was better. I really liked the full page battle scene.
The Bad:
Cordy's appearace was a waste; she didn't need to be in this issue at all. Gwen's thong peeking out of her pants. Still doesn't quite feel like Angel.

Yeah I'd say Season 3 short. Above the shoulders for sure, I'm not looking at it right now though.

I thought this issue was another improvement, namely in the art department. The art was just soooooooo much better this time, that I just don't understand why Dave drew the first 3 issues like he did. Angel's likeness was good throughout, his Cordy was good enough, and Kate and Gwen were handled well. The story continued along well enough. I guess the Potentates are the good guys in this story after all, but I'm not really feeling this aspect of the story and how it continued to try and shoehorn their involvement into After the Fall.
Cordy's return was...meh. Not really needed, but I guess Kelley used her to help Angel trust James. I am glad that Kelley made Cordy's appearance brief though and not under her own control (she was basically on loan for a few minutes from the PTB's). At least now we know Cordy can't just show up as a Higher Ghost whenever she wants.
My biggest gripe with this issue was Kelley's attempt to show some conflict going on with Kate. That panel where we were bombarded with a bunch of thought bubbles from Kate was just stupid. You can tell Kelley isn't a fan of her and that panel was really just examining different aspected of Kate from a very two dimensional stand point. Meh.
Dez's story was cleared up for the most part. The post-apocalyptic crazies have all really been animals that were turned into humans (and then still acted like animals), so that story came to a close.
Looks like the last issue will deal with those two suits that recruited Angel in the first issue, but I don't like that we have no real idea what they are up to with just one issue to go.
Overall, AFTERMATH keeps chugging along. Nothing outstanding with the story, but the art and colors got a complete overhaul that fits the series much better. Dave Ross is still no Urru or Mooney, but at least he fixed what he was doing wrong. Now if only Kate would change her clothes...

But still seems like a massive a waste having her in TPTB control/ limbo…
