How come it doesn't say Angel: Aftermath, like Angel: After The Fall this cover just has 'Angel' Good point; I hadn't noticed that. Do we know who the artist for this cover is, by the way? Is it Dave Ross? Hmmm I'm not sure, as I'm not familiar with his work. The original information on the issue (located in the first post) credits Gabriel Rodriguez, and Nick Runge as the cover artists (if that is what the (c) by their names means), so my guess is that this cover is by Rodriguez, and we should also get a cover from Runge too.

Ah, good. Thank you! I've seen samples of Dave Ross's work elsewhere, and I was pretty impressed, so... glad this mediocre cover isn't his, and looking forward to seeing his work.

The art style is interesting here, but the problem is the dynamic is severely lacking. I'm much more excited about seeing Ross' cover (who I've heard is quite talented) and Runge's (who I know does amazing cover art).
It's a bit hard to get excited about Aftermath when I'm trying to not spoil myself for the end of After the Fall.

Hm, Angel's still got that same sword he's been carrying. Go figure. Or am I just paying too close attention that it's still the same exact sword we've been seeing? Gold, curved hilt with engravings. Seriously, same sword from Gunn's attack on Angel, and the Issue 12 cover, and the splash Shanshu page in 11.

Not sure how I feel about the concept of a were-cat, will have to wait for its execution. It was my first thought also when I saw the cover. This cat somehow will be one of the main characters, probably Cordelia or Wesley...

Yeah, Kelley Armstrong said she would bring in fresh characters. I'm not a big fan of this cover though, I can't wait to see Runge's work for this. What the heck is a "Were-Cat"? Is that what it is or did you guys just assume it was?

Kelley Armstrong said one of the new characters she'd introduce would be a were-cat, and we extrapolated. Judging from the cover, I'm guessing a were-cat will resemble a werewolf in that it changes from human form to animal form, but differ from a werewolf in that it transforms into a full feline, instead of a humanoid animal.

I think the drawing of the cover is nice but that is a dull as shit (particulalrly dull shit) composition. Maybe it's the lack of background. It has a flat feeling overall.

That cover is cool. So intersting with the cat. Bet it a demon-cat or something like that. It's actually a were-cat (similar to a were-wolf) and a new character that is introduced in issue #18.

They should just keep it angel atf, they are making some stupid moves by dragging angel through the dirt to yet another comic book!

They should just keep it angel atf, they are making some stupid moves by dragging angel through the dirt to yet another comic book! But After The Fall IS ENDING. Aftermath is a different story all together, it feeds off of the conclusion from After The Fall but thats it. I'm giving it a chance probably about 4 issues and if I'm not loving it I'll give it a miss...thats what I did with ATF and I can happily say I have followed it all the way through. (even if I was against it at first...)

But, they should just end Angel in After the Fall instead of making it cut off just like the series. It's horrid how they keep holding off on Angel. I mean are they full of writers block that they can't come up with an end?

I mean are they full of writers block that they can't come up with an end? So you think that they are just continuing Angel because they don't know how to end it? Not sure I understand the logic considering the show already has an ending with Not Fade Away, and the comics continue the story after that. There's no writer's block at all. The fans want more Angel, and Joss, Brian, and now Kelly have been kind enough to give us that. There won't be a season 7, and that why they doing an Aftermath. I guess. Technically there isn't even a Season 6 yet. After the Fall is considered to be more like an Angel movie or mini-series, not a full-fledged season. Yes, the series uses some ideas that Joss would have used in Season 6 if the show had continued, but the comic was never considered Angel: Season 6, hence why it has a separate name.

My friend, because random sites wrongly call "After the Fall" a season, does not mean that it's true. I can probably find you a site that says that Joss Whedon is, in fact, an alien. Doesn't make it true.
How about the fact that the name "Season Six" is not on any of the covers? Orrrrr the fact that Brian Lynch has said numerous times that it's not a season like the Buffy comics, but more like a trilogy of movies, and *not* to call it season six?
