Just curious to see what browser SlayAlivers use most often. If Firefox, I recommend that everyone download the Ad-Block Plus Add-on. It'll automatically block the silly ads that appear on the forum. So even if we cannot afford to pay for ad-free, your browser will do it for you! It helps the pages load faster.
I use Firefox.

Safari... I'm not much of an experimenter when it comes to browsers, and I've been told that Mozilla Firefox is good, but I don't care enough to play around with it.

I use Firefox. I hate Internet Explorer - it's slow, clunky and makes annoying clicking noises at random times. I've tried out Chrome, Opera and Netscape, but didn't like them as much as Firefox.
Plus, you can get all sorts of add-ons for Firefox... I have the ad-blocker, a word counter (because I am weird and when reading fic like to know how many words it has, heh), youtube downloader and a favicon picker.

Do people have to pay for the others or can I download them for free?

I use many other browsers (Opera, Safari, Google Chrome) but Firefox is for all my personal uses, including this fine site.

I use internet explorer. Do people have to pay for the others or can I download them for free? Pretty sure they're all free. Safari is only for macs, though, I think.

I'm a die hard Firefox user. I still on rare occasions use Internet Explorer, but I just feel safer with Firefox. It blocks ads, alerts me if I about to load a website that has malware attached to it, and even automatically spell checks for me...and those are only a few of the awesome addons you can get.

I use Firefox. Firefox for Windows is great. The Mac version I use at work... not so much. It's buggy and unstable.
When I first got on the Net in... um, 1995... Netscape was the big thing. It was a cool program. I wish I'd saved a copy for nostalgia purposes.

Iceeh, it's OK, we've all been there I'm sure. (GoDaddy girls anyone? How can I NOT buy a domain name from them?) There is a Windows version available as well. Like IE, Safari comes pre-loaded on Macs because both Macs and Safari are made by the same company. Netscape was legit, man. I miss that logo.

I use IE, but I use to use Firefox on my old computer for a long time. I've even used Safari. Only reason I keep using IE is because it's the default on my Microsoft, and I have never had any problems with ads or anything..plus I have all my favs/links set up cool-ly and it'd be effort to redo it all!

You know there is a quick way to transfer your favorites from Internet Explorer to Firefox. Just load Firefox, go to Bookmarks, click on the Import and Backup button, and then click on Import HTML. A dialog box will appear and all you have to do is tell Firefox to import your favorites from Internet Explorer. That's it...pretty easy.
