This should be interesting. I'll have to check it out when it's released.

Wyndam: [REC] was the spanish Quarantine right? or am i confusing that with something else? Yeah Quarantine is the American remake of [REC], which was just brilliant. Quarantine was decent enough, but that is because it was nearly a shot for shot remake.

It just came out on DVD in the states, and is probably pretty cheap, I'd definitely recommend it. Or even rent it.

I back up Wyndams REC suggestion.
Its brilliant, I refuse to watch Quarantine however. lol.
Back to topic...so excited about cabin in the woods! The news on amy acker being cast as well adds further excitement! I do love my horror films so hopefully this will live up to my expectations. No doubt it will, goddard/whedon...nuff said.

and is Goners supposed to be a horror film too? Joss is writing and directing...

Goners is supposedly going to be a horror fantasy/thriller, but since it was announced in 2005 and hasn't happened yet, I have a feeling Joss may have let yet another project fall to the wayside. Maybe he will do it after Cabin though.

Adding my vote for REC. It kicked so much backside. Did you hear they're making a sequel? I'm ready to see Cabin now, though. I watched Last House On the Left (the remake) and thought it was good but just didn't quite engage me (the vicarious satisfaction level from the girl's dad was pretty high, though). I know Joss and Drew are going to deliver on that, though. A memorable horror movie is one that not only makes my heart race, but also makes my head spin (which is why I loooove movies like Haute Tension, The Ring, The Shining, and Silent Hill), and I think (hope!) Cabin will succeed at both insanely well.

That intro is very creepy even though nothing happens. Great camera work! I have to say that I typically don't watch horror films, but I have to watch something by Joss. We'll see if I can drag my boyfriend along, lol.
But February 10, 2010? That is SO LONG from now!

Oh, what a tease! I am so excited for this movie! At least we have a release date now. But 02/05/10 is so far away. Trailer is very creepy, btw. Perhaps they will post more info later? *fingers crossed.* I want to know more about this movie!

Oh Frack! This is going to be oh so awesome, and I don't even know anything about it (pretty much no one does!).

Oh Frack! This is going to be oh so awesome, and I don't even know anything about it (pretty much no one does!). Er go, excitement! At least for those of us committed to seeing it. Unfortunately, movies that we don't know much about tend to get poorer ticket sales because people don't want to "waste" their money. Like District 9. It's so vague and there's no face to equate with it that I probably won't see it. There's nothing to entice the audience. I only hope that Cabin is well marketed. I'd hate for it to get bad ratings due to ambiguity, which so far, has been its defining trait.
