Fingers cross here as well buffylover, I tried to like other Joss whedon projects and i do but i'm not a huge fan. I just like Buffy and Angel. I tried to get into Dollhouse and it took me ages to like that show. I like it now but I knew it wouldn't last long. I don't want him to do something that i'm not interested in because then i'll just be wasting my money. I tried to support him but he needs to give us something back like a buffy related series. Same, i had trouble of getting into the show, but Buffy the connection was excellent the show was superb.Dollhouse was great, but like what you said it took ages to get in to it. Fingers crossed.lol

I want a buffy related series to start soon. I want it to be a darker and more scary than buffy and angel. If you think about it Stargate universe is like a relaunch of the stargate series. And that show is more darker than the SG1 and Atlantis series.
By the way, I was looking on wikipedia and i was reading about Ripper. And on there it said that due to the cancellation of dollhouse, fans are hoping that the Ripper series would be relaunched.
And another thing about the Angel series. It wasn't cancelled because the ratings were low, it was cancelled because the series was doing well and the channel executives thought it would be perfect for it to end, which was still a dumb idea. Cancellation is when a series has failed, and Angel never failed, it won.

While I would love something along the lines of Buffy, I sometimes think it is complete enough as it is. Why mess with the best by trying to resurrect it, you know? We should just let it rest, like when Dawn tried to bring Joyce back to life. Just wouldn't be the same. Something that is in the same universe would be good though. If there was an entirely new cast. Like, if the slayers went public or something. I dunno. I'll let Joss do the thinking.
I'm definitely looking forward to new projects though. I hope he doesn't snub tv altogether because some CEO at Fox was an asshole and axed the Dollhouse. He should just snub Fox. Oh well though. I'll take what I can get.

Back in 2003, it sounded like we were definately going to get a spin off in that year or later. Here's the article:
First it was definitely going to be Dawn the Vampire Slayer. Then they were sure it was going to be Faith the Vampire Slayer. Then they were positive that it was Willow's Witch Academy. Now it looks as though all the rumour-mongering about a new Buffy spin-off was way off-beam.
Eliza Dusku's unavailability nixed the Faith show. "There was some talk... but she chose something else, and the talk stopped," Joss Whedon said, speaking to TV Guide Online.
Ain't It Cool News also carries reports of writer Jane Espenson discussing the possibilities. According to their source ("call me Chet"), Espenson echoed Whedon's comments about the Faith spin-off, but went on to discuss a Slayer School show, with Willow heading up a Hollywood Hogwarts. But, Chet says, "that did not seem that likely as it doesn't feel right, and would most likely not happen unless Joss changed his feelings."
Whedon's hopeful that he'll be able to tell stories in the world of Buffy. Eventually. "It doesn't mean the Buffy universe is closed or that there aren't potential spinoffs, like Willow or whatever. But it does mean that Buffy, as we know it, will end. This is the last season. It's not coming back. Something may come. It may come next season, it may come later."

how about a "one shot" story type show set in the buffyverse. Where each week is a complete story, with new characters kinda like twilight zone or the outer limits. I'm sure joss could wrangle some great stars to get in on that and there could even be some special appearances by familiar characters. just an idea.
Oh! And Tom Lenk can be Andrew and introduce each episode as in Storyteller!! Sweeeeet.

My ultimate dream is that Scyfy or some other crazy cable network gives Joss the amazingly awesome oppurtunity to create a new show set in the firefly verse. While I would love for it just to be Firefly all the actors are busy with something, so that's a no go. But it would be so amazing if he could create a show set in the same world cause I reallllly want to see more of it, and as much as I love Buffy, I definitely think it's got a fully flesh out universe and it's gotten it's big chance to shine. Firefly never really did/hasn't.

Of all the Whedon projects in existence right now, I agree that the one I would like to see more of the most is Firefly.

Well i hope there's just... stuff, product. 2010 looks a little lean; Buffy motion comics (no apparent Whedon involvement), a possible Whedon-free Buffy reboot (my money is on Twlight's scriptwriter - who failed to get her Buffy tv scripts approved btw - with Alison Lohman as Buffy, but i still won't go see it).
Apparently he's just started talking to cable guys so that's nice but any take up won't hit screen for quite some time.
Glee, one episode in March.
Ripper alas is not on the cards - wish it was.
Goners is locked by Universal.
I'm kinda shocked that people want him to take a break from tv... after Angel the guy hasn't MADE any tv till dollhouse, he was wasting away in Wonder Woman development hell.
Oh, Cabin in the Woods, 2011 (in 3D! meh), 2000 and frickin' 11?!?!
More Buffy comics is nice. The Faith spin-off was Tim Minear's Project and the reasons given for Angel's termination (above) are incorrect.
So - it's the internet, some sort of Dr Horrible-esque meets The Guild meet BSG webisodes i hope... one thing that man can do is surprise the heck of his fans so... i'm waiting. But yeah, a little 'beaten down', to quote the man himself.

Then why was Angel cancelled?

Then why was Angel cancelled? Politics and mis-communication. Joss was getting ready to prep season 6 and needed a green light from the execs - which he was he was more than confident of, after all, the execs had said as much informally and besides if they were to cancel a show in order to 'go out strong', they would have given the cast and crew due to notice and the writers time to develop a suitable arc strategy. Because of this he pushed for a quick answer during the hiatus (yep Angel had one as well!) and in doing so got the FAIL answer instead - having angered the network by asking. (Breach of protocol???) Some still blame Joss - some still blame the exec (it was actually down to one guy, but i forget his name). The Joss-blamers say he pushed too hard too soon, the exec haters say the Network had been looking for an excuse to park the show (and Joss) anyway. (A lot of bitterness because, jobs and the losing thereof). Joss, clearly, blamed the networks as the finale of S5 sort of demonstrates. The exact reason for the communication break down is unclear to most everyone - but it's to be regretted in any event. Of course what happened next...? Well Whedon seemingly couldn't get a show on the air or a script on the screen AT ALL. For years. Anywhere. Eliza apparently is the only reason Dollhouse got made - and the guy gets some serious troll heat on the media forums. All in all murky and a damn shame - I want more Joss TV!!!! (apologies for weird formatting, my right eye is frakked up)

Of all his verses, I would most like to see something Buffy-related.
I miss it. Put it on cable, put it on HBO, or Showtime even!

What I would like the most (except for a Buffy movie, but I'm realistic) would be comics stand alones for the mayor characters.
Preferable set after Season 8 is done, just a few individual adventures. One for Giles, Xander, Buffy & Dawn. And hopefully some IDW characters, like Spike & Cordelia (since she's already been "brought back", no matter what we think about it, she might as well be well used. It would be interesting to see how she's put to work as a higher being).
I would love a Wesley adventure, but since he's dead and forced to work for W&H (btw, how the HELL could they sign those contracts?) and a comic about him being released from W&H might be a bit cheesy, a comic about his days as a rouge demon hunter might be nice. Preferable with Nick Runge or Stephen Mooney as the artist.

(Buffy related projects would be gold) but, I would be very happy for more Canon IDW comics.

I wanna see Joss do something with Firefly/Serenity. ;D
I just re-read all of the Serenity comics, and there is so much they could do. More comics, more movies, anything! <3
I would also love to see something with B:tAS. I'd be thrilled if we got the old, finished eps on DVD.

Joss' Glee ep won't be for a while. It is done airing until April, and then one of the new episodes will be his. ;D

Joss's Glee episode is number 19 so it won't be until the end.
