It's "frak". The show is only loosely tied to BSG by virtue of the fact that they take place in the same universe. But Caprica is set 58 years before the events of BSG, so you don't need to have seen BSG to enjoy Caprica. And Lucy Lawless has much more than a "stint"... but you'll find out when you watch. (And Spartacus is really good, violence and sex aside. I really like it.) Well, I'm watching it all the same ( Caprica, that is), regardless of my BSG V-card. Gay mafioso may help its cause. As for Spartacus, I thought it was only good for the violence and sex? I'm enjoying it... I love the debauchery and excess... instead of some kind of sanitized Roman costume drama. Hot men running about in tiny outfits. I'm there. Insert danglies (whoa... that was a bit much), and it's even better. Only thing that bugs me is that in the hi-res promo photos of Spartacus, you can see the stubble on his chest and nipples... I mean, seriously? Photoshop it out... BAH.

I believe it was actually "frack" on the original BSG, but they changed it in the reboot to have it be a four letter word. Just saw the preview for the third ep, and I'm pretty sure that the guy who played Joel Minor on Dollhouse is in it. Patton Oswalt? He's hilarious.

Speaking of gay mafioso, check out this interview with Jane Espenson about Sam Adama's sexuality. I knew I loved her for reasons other than being a linguist. Also, methinks it might be time for a Caprica thread. We've completely de-railed Joss entirely!

That interview is actually where I heard about the gay mafioso business... I'm still waiting for the second ep to be released on Wednesday, so if that came out (haha... pun!) then, I haven't seen it yet. Feel free to start a Caprica thread in the "Movies & TV" board.

I read something the other day about both BBC and Anthony Stewart Head still being interested in doing Ripper, so maybe there's now a half way decent chance of that happening. I think that's now my first choice.

I hope not. =[ I'm all for Comic-con, but I'd rather Joss spent time on a creative endeavour rather than a documentary.

Because I must disagree with you if you are. Besides, he can do what he wants, and this is certainly up the alley of "what Joss likes".

Personally, I want to see what he brings to a documentary, a format I've never enjoyed much.

Well I know a documentary is a creative endeavour, but only to certain extent. I would prefer him to work on a new tv show. But ultimately my opinion doesn't really matter cause unfortunately I cannot control his mind.

I want a Buffy movie desperately. Me too but a proper Joss Buffy movie, with some of the original cast in, not the one that was rumoured a while ago
