The watchers council really should have done something, I mean they're a group of old rich snobby english men sat around doing nothing whilst their whole buisness is reliant on Buffy, yet they don't do anything to help her?

I really don't get why in checkpoint, instead of only asking that the council pay Giles, she didn't just ask them to pay her as well. That would have solved her money woes much more easily.

Nothing to do with money, because I totally agree about Willow and Tara (while she was there) helping out.
There was one episode where Buffy comes back from work and the kitchen is in a huge mess, probably like the rest of the house. What the hell are Dawn and Willow doing all day? I think it was in As You Were.

There was one episode where Buffy comes back from work and the kitchen is in a huge mess, probably like the rest of the house. What the hell are Dawn and Willow doing all day? I think it was in As You Were. I mentioned this in the 'Last BtVS ep I watched' thread. When Willow said 'ready for a bold suggestion? Blow it off.' I kept thinking well Buffy could blow it off if either Willow or Dawn had done any of the chores that day. Which they clearly didn't. I think that Buffy could have solved this two ways. One, like Scarygothgirl mentioned, Buffy should have asked for the Council to start giving her a salary. This can't be the first time a Slayer was without a means to support to herself so they should have been contacted. And two, charge Willow and Tara (when she lived there) rent. Now they might have already been paying Buffy rent but they never mentioned it so I'm forced to assume that they never did. Every time a bill is mentioned neither Willow or Tara say don't worry we'll help pay this one, it's always up to Buffy to figure out a way to pay the bills. That whole storyline ticked me off a lot.
