I quite enjoyed reading the issue, but I was left feeling a bit concerned about how this is going to play out. I feel like we really didn't learn much about why Dru is there, what happened to her, etc. Only having one more issue to wrap up this story doesn't see like much.

The covers for this were crazy hard to find especially on the first day.

True, but this issue was mostly visual. I am sure the next one will be dialogue driven. If so maybe we can get into Dru's head more. I have tons of faith in Brian and Juliet that they have done this character right.

What a fantastic issue! I can't rave enough about how well Urru captured Dru here. All of her flowy/dance-like movements were perfect and classic Drusilla. Her dialogue was also great, especially where she is talking about her last encounters with Darla and Spike. Great stuff there, as were the panels where she dances over to Dr. Gray. The artwork was such a winner in this issue, made even more awesome by Fabio and Paolo's colors.
As for the story, well there is a lot of mystery here, which is always fun. I get a feeling that Dr. Gray and the others that know about who Dru is and are covering up for her killings (like the guard in the bathroom), are connected with Wolfram and Hart.
I am looking forward to what the next issue brings, since it is assumed that it will take place after L.A. goes to Hell.
And how awesome was Runge's cover? Definitely one of his best. Incredible. And Brian/Juliet/Franco/Fabio/Paolo really made this issue special.
Today was a good day for Buffyverse comics. Especially after 5 months of Aftermath/Predators and Prey. Then we got the great Become What You Are and Retreat Part 1, and now we got two more great issues this month. Back on track.

This issue was great. I haven't read Become What You Are so it was very refreshing to see Brian and Franco back in action. They captured Drusilla perfectly. I knew I'd see those killer nails again. Was there more blood than the line across Kendra's neck? Who approached who on this project? Did Juliet go to Brian or visa versa? Loved the photo-shoot in the back. A two issues doesn't seem to be sufficient enough for this mini Drusilla arc.

Juliet and I were talking on Facebook and I asked her if she wanted to join in on the fun. Thankfully she said yes, that girl has writing talent that rivals her acting ability. So proud of the final product. She is amazing, and Franco has never been better.
This one is very light and graceful and purposely builds to insane chaos next issue.

This was a great issue. I definitely see where the Clockwork Orange comparisons come from. Dru with a bit of the old ultraviolence. (If she had any friends, would they be called Druges?) She's like a psychotic ballerina.
I'm interested to see what the motive is in keeping Dru under wraps like that. I assume she's been given a physical, so somebody knows that weird little heart of hers isn't beating.
I liked the photos in the back, too. (Juliet has nice legs.)

I got it today. I loved loved loved it! I loved that she new that Darla died, I loved that she killed Michelle just like she killed Kendra and I loved the "...Blackberry patch".... I can't wait to see her in Hell-A next issue.

Really loved this issue. The artwork was beautiful. It really caught the essence of the character. That said after this arc I'm going to have to drop the Angel comics. At $8 a shot here in Oz the cost is just too much!

That sucks, why are they so expensive there? Is it because the comics are shipped from the U.S. and the comic distributers in Australia have to cover their shipping (from the U.S.) costs?

Yeah, I guess that is why... It sucks big time... I would get all the issues (+ the HC's) of both Buffy & Angel if they were only $3-$4

Just read it today - It was absolutely cool and wonderful, right from the precise and detailed illustrations of Drusilla, to the story.
Furthermore, I loved the illustrations that was in black & White with the blood being red, in the flashback scenes. You could feel and see in the issue that Franco Urru had Juliet 'Drusilla' Landau modelling for him, which gave a great authentic quality to the drawings. I noticed the whiteness in Dru's face, in the scenes where she turned her vamp-face on - A great kick-ass detail!

Where as I really loved this issue, the story for me just kind of left me hanging, but hopefully the next issue will tie everything up. Or hopefully, Dru will become the big bad which would be something I have waited for for a hell of a long time.
Dru was captured amazingly, AMAZINGLY. Her vibe and beautiful insanity were captured perfectly.

I'm not sure if I liked this... it was all set-up, and with only one more issue, I'm not sure how it will all pay off satisfyingly. I don't really know enough about the story to judge it, really. The artwork was the best thing about it (although a couple of shots of Dru's vamp face looked overly referenced from the show). I loved the cold, sterile atmosphere that Urru was going for, to contrast the warmth of AtF. That's exactly what comic book art should do, be as much a living, breathing part of the story as the dialogue.
Haven't made my mind up about the story, but the artwork was amazing.

I just think of it as a nice 'side' Drusilla episode like 'Redefinition' or 'Crush' that are not really to involved in the seasons storyline. I would like to know more about how she felt about Darla dieing and if she knows about Connor in next issue.

I'm hoping to see what she did in Hell-A while all that other stuff was going on.
Maybe she was hanging out with Harmony. Now there's an odd couple for you...
