So in Buffyfest's video interview with Brian, he says this takes place during After the Fall. That's pretty interesting. I wonder what she was doing. Actually, he said just some of it was taking place during AtF. Either way, great video interview (here's the LINK for anyone interested). I can't believe Juliet sent Brian an entire movie script, that is beyond awesome. Really cool that she wants to be so involved in this. Added the video link to the first post as well.

I am beyond excited ever since the announcement of this 2-parter. drusilla is one of my fav characters in the 'verse, and i always thought she had never got the chance to shine properly, to get a solid storyline. and the fact juliet is helmin it along with Brian it's the icing on the cake. i mean who better than her can channel Dru's voice, thoughts and actions?
according to Brian's interview with Buffyfest SPOILER
Dru was in LA and managed to keep tabs on the Fang Gang and what they've been up to, it'll be cool to see her part and her take in Hell-A
/END SPOILER

who thinks that this is coming out in the next arc after Aftermath Well we don't know for sure yet, but this is supposed to start in July, right around when Aftermath ends.

Oh ok, I though it was going to be part of Aftermath but after it is better... (I want the comics to end on a high after this, or get Brian Lynch back or just have a few more oneshot characters stories but that is.) ...

Check out what Chris Ryall posted on his BLOG today: That's Franco Urru with a sketch of his upcoming cover for Drusilla's first issue! Chris also more or less confirmed that her first issue would be issue #24 as well. I am going to wait until we get a solicitation for it though, just to make sure before I change the title. Here's a larger shot of the cover: Talk about a beautiful cover! It's not even colored yet either.

Breathtaking! That has to be one of Franco's best covers, it's probably my new favorite. That's just incredible, all the little details and the background and Drusilla's dress... all perfect.

Is anyone wondering about the convenience (or rather, inconvenience) of Drusilla happening to be in LA right when it's sent to hell? I do wonder if it's something she would have seen in her visions and if so, was she there by choice or by chance?

I do wonder if it's something she would have seen in her visions and if so, was she there by choice or by chance? I bet this will probably be explored. Brian hinted during his interview with Buffyfest that Drusilla will probably be enjoying Hell-A, so if she did see it in a vision first, that would definitely be a great reason for her to show up. I'm really looking forward to how she reacts to Hell-A, and then Angel and Spike as heroes of L.A.

One thing I hope happens in these couple issues is Drusilla showing up at events that happened during After the Fall and to see her take on things. Like maybe being at Lord fight in issue 5 and stuff like that.

If Dru saw it in her vision, I'd imagine she'd come to LA just to experience it. One thing I'm worried about is having Dru interact with Angel and Spike when there was no shown interaction between them in AtF. I'm wondering if it will be the case of Dru maybe being around Angel during the months he's incapacitated or seeing Spike from afar. I'm not sure how I feel about the history of AtF being edited to fit her in. I can see how it would happen but I'm wondering how it would fit and not make ripples for character progression.

I believe it was at the IDW panel, but Brian said that only some of the 2-parter would be set during actual AtF events. My guess is issue 1 (#24) deals with Dru's time during AtF, probably viewing events from afar (in terms of Spike and Angel), and then issue 2 (#25) puts her back in the regular timeline, where she will deal with Angel. That's just a guess though, but since Brian is handling these issues, I doubt he'd mess anything up from AtF by having Dru interact with the boys. That'd be pretty weird. She could possibly interact with Gunn, or Lorne, or another character that we didn't see all the time. That could be interesting.

That's incredible... More or less confirmed that her first issue would be issue #24,.. Aftermath ends at #23 right? Angel will no longer be called Aftermath after #23 right? I really want to Dru Kill and sire Ann in Hell-A like 'Chantarelle' always wanted (but she would go back to normal like we all know.) ...

Yep, Aftermath ends at #23, but we have no word yet on what the name is changing too. It may just be "Angel" for the 3 special issues, and then a new name might start with #27 after the Dru/Gunn issues. No clue yet though.

Loving that Urru cover, especially how Dru is just reveling in the chaos around her. Aw... I've missed Dru! I hope they do a good job of capturing her voice... the old Dark Horse comics stuggled with that IIRC.

I'm SO glad that Franco and Brian are doing this! Dru is one of my favorite characters and there is no doubt in my mind that Brian is going to do a great job writing, and we KNOW Franco is going to nail the art. I love how detailed the cover is! The dolls, skulls, and the background is SO Dru. She was kind of over-looked in the last few seasons of both shows. I wish this would last longer than two issues though. : (

No words can describe how I feel about Franco's Drusilla cover. I'm glad to be finally catching up with her. Like many of you said, she's an amazing character. I can't get over Franco's cover. Wouldn't Angel or Spike have "smelled" her presence? You know? Since Angelus sired her, there's like a GPS system attached to her. But I'm sure they didn't even notice do to having their hands busy with everything else. Turning Anne would be really twisted, perhaps tipping the scale on whether or not Gunn will commit suicide. I love the way you think, Thorn (Save for the Druid "Thorn" cult in Halloween) lol.

Yep, Angel was human. It makes me wonder if Drusilla was in Hell-A, what could possibly keep her from going to see Angel. What if she saw a vision that he was human? I think that would make her want to go and turn him in hopes of getting her Daddy back the way she re-made Darla. Or perhaps she saw that going to see Angel would lead to her death and that's why she kept her distance.

I think Dru would be way more interested in Spike than Angel, especially considering her "daddy" (Angelus) being gone.
That cover is gorgeous.
