You have bad luck buffylover, if that's happened to you twice so recently.
And, to my astonishment, school is canceled again today. It snowed all day yesterday, and nothing stuck to the road, but I guess it must have gotten colder over night (certainly feels like it did), because there's a few inches out there.

So.. I feel like I may be posting excessively in here tonight, but I'm bored. And I'm currently having a really awkward conversation via facebook chat with this kid I haven't talked to since elementary school.

I hate situations like that. In case you do the work and do the whole presentation, that would be good for your grades, but I'm not sure your classmates would like you for outshining them, so things could get nasty. Also, the book isn't all that easy to grasp (at least for me). This is true, and thank you for the sentiment.. but, in this case I'm afraid I have to include myself with the people who didn't read the book. It's not that I was purposely slacking or anything, things just snuck up on me I guess. I did the No Fear Heart of Darkness thing on Sparknotes, so I get the gist of it. Probably would have been better if I actually got around to reading it. And on a completely unrelated note, I'm now eating cookie dough ice cream. It might be better without the ice cream part, but either way I'm enjoying it.

Heart of Darkness is kind of sucking. I've got this group presentation on a passage out of the book going on tomorrow. Only, no one in my group actually read the book. Or pretty much the whole class actually. So I guess we're just winging it then.

Hercules (on the right), and one of my sister's friend's dogs went to get their picture taken with Santa back in December. He's a cool dog, except when you leave him alone. Then he has panic attacks and beats up the garbage can and breaks stuff and all kinds of things.

Root of the Industry- Hoots and Hellmouth
I only listened the song because the band has hellmouth in the title, but it's pretty good. Kinda folky or maybe jug-bandy, so not everyone's cup of tea, but I actually like it.

Goal: 50
1. Doctor Who season 1 (2005) 2. Buffy season 4 3. Robin Hood season 1 4. Robin Hood season 2 5. The Guild season 1 6. The Guild season 2 7. The Guild season 3 8. Secret Diary of a Call Girl season 1 9. Secret Diary of a Call Girl season 2 10. Freaks and Geeks season 1
italicized- rewatched
Btw, I highly recommend Freaks and Geeks. It only lasted for a season, but it totally kicks ass. It was Judd Appatow's creation, and it has James Franco, Jason Segal, Seth Rogen, and John Francis Daley. So, awesome cast, awesome writers, awesome everything.

Apocalypse.
Generally speaking, I don't do well with apocalyptic/disaster movies, but I just couldn't quite look away. As I'd never heard of it before, I'm assuming it was a B-list movie riding on the coattails of some disaster movie that did really well, like Twister, but it was surprisingly non-cheesy. Really predictable, but in a way that didn't matter much.
And now I just watched the Mighty Ducks. I had forgotten how awesome that movie was. Kids movies have really gone downhill since then.

Contemplating the idea of starting my homework. I have a study hall tomorrow, so I don't think I will.

Oh, poor Emma.
But Michelle was hilarious. And she really reminds me of this girl I know. So that's a little odd I guess, and probably not interesting for any of you, seeing as how you don't know the girl I'm talking about.

I bought a couple of shirts. I like them a lot, but I felt kind of silly paying full price for them when that store is having a gigantic sale over the weekend. Still, its supposed to snow, so I might not actually get out there, and it gets kind of crazy during the sale.

1) You thought vampire faces in Buffy are the best ever? Well, Buffy is the only vampire fiction I'm really into, so I'll say yes.
2) Spike & Angels gamefaces were hot? I wouldn't say that they were hot because they were attractive. But it is kind of... exciting, for lack of a better word, because it brings the danger aspect in, and every girl loves a bad boy. So they were kind of hot, but not because they were good looking.
3) Who looked best with thier demon face on? I kinda liked Xander's actually. Or maybe Spike.
4) Who was your favourite BTVS vampire? Spike. By a light year or two. Drusilla is pretty cool too though.

Thanks, El Diablo Robotico I thought he was suppose to be a different person with the soul? Wouldn't he have different fighting styles/strengths??? Seriously, if it was your mother's coat that Spike was wearing around you, would you honestly not care one little bit? Also, he got over it pretty quickly when his coat was destroyed in Angel. It obviously didn't mean that much to him. Those are good points. Spike was a different person after he got his soul back. He didn't have quite the same thirst for violence and killing as he did before. For purposes of a fight, he was a wimpier, watered down, version of his old self. The leather coat as a trophy represented his power in a fight. It marked him as a bad-ass. He needed to wear the coat to remind himself of who he was, and what he could do. By wearing it, he gained back some of his power, not just physically, but emotionally. He wasn't subdued or guilty or pitiful. It prepared him for the final battle by giving him confidence in himself. Spike didn't mourn the loss in Angel because he didn't need the reassurance it gave him anymore. It was like a security blanket he grew out of. You're probably right on the Robin Wood front though. I can't even begin to relate, and so I'm a little lacking in empathy. So, I feel for his pain. I still think he could have picked a different time. Or not gone behind Buffy's back to do it. (I'm surprised at how good his memory is though. Remembering her killer, I can understand. Remembering her coat... not so much.)
