Happy they put these online. Thank god I didn't pay the $15 for the jpeg. That photo cost more than half of everything I spent the three days preparing for/in Boston, but I think it was worth it. Nice write up orangejuicepony! I thought this was one of the worst organized events I've ever been to, but when it was fun, it was REALLY fun. Panel room was definitely too small, only made it into the James Marsters one (literally the last two seats in the very back, phew). Taking the photo was fun, the guys were extremely nice, the girls didn't say one word naturally. I was a nervous wreck when I met Clare and Mercedes because I was alone and overwhelmed. They probably thought I was mentally ill and skipped medication or something. It's one of those things where you look back and cringe thinking "why did I do that?!", but they were very nice. James was INCREDIBLY nice. You could tell Charisma didn't want to be there, seemed overtired, but she did her best to put on the nice face. And don't even get me started on the Obama thing. When it's insanely hot and crowded and you just want to leave the building to go across the street to buy water and you can't? Felt like death at times.

Awful movie, just like the other three... but it's hard not to have a great time. Great guilty pleasures.

Didn't really like anything about the finale, or season overall. I don't know what happened to Anna Paquin but dear god was she awful. Kind of surprising since I liked her the first two seasons. Everything was just too disjointed, everyone doing their own thing. Serious moments just came across comical. Ugh I don't know, find it hard to care at this point. The only two good things I got out of the finale were Eric owning Bill and of course, Pam.

Yeah the VIP tickets are pretty insane and sort of pointless. I don't mind waiting in long lines if I get to meet them. Panels too.
Cool that Mark Metcalf and Doug Jones were added.

Aw, I loved it with Buffy by herself. (Now I hope her face is telling of what's to come for her after reading #36). But yeah, it's still just as awesome with the surprise.

Sooo yeah. I just have to echo all the "what the hell Buffy?!" statements I've read. All I have now is hope that this is just the beginning of a pretty large arc for her, because this just isn't the Buffy we know and love. After taking baby steps forward, she just took some large steps back in this issue. I want what we saw in Anywhere But Here to be her waking the hell up.
Other than that I really enjoyed this issue. Spike was awesome, and story elements are very exciting.

Really loved the preview. Questions on top of questions, but it feels like everything is coming together. Next Wednesday can't arrive soon enough.

Aw that's upsetting. I still might give it a go just because my love for Harmony knows no bounds, but still in the process of deciding. Here's hoping she'll be in a good mood! Can't believe the cost for a freaking photo, more than the actual ticket to get in. Probably a week or two before it starts, that's usually the case with the cons I have been to. Uggggh, I am having so much trouble planning this trip, it's so frustrating. I feel like I am not going to be able to go because my planning skills are too poor and I can't get enough people to put in for a hotel room. I feel like I'll have such an amazing time though if I can actually get this trip together. Heres hoping. Hope you'll be able to make it! What about just going for a day? That way no hotel is needed. Bus/drive in the morning, and then back when it's over. That's how I'll be going about it.

Hmm... sounds like this has potential. I'll give it a try. You are never too old for a Scooby Doo cartoon. I'll still watch the old ones whenever I see that they're on, but really hate the new ones. "Darker" and "mature" sounds interesting though.

Curiosity has gotten the better of me. No way am I seeing this, but what's the Buffy joke?

This is just an incredible movie. Like two hours of pure geekgasm and I loved every second of it. It's hilarious but surprisingly heartfelt at times. I wasn't looking forward to it because I'm so sick of Michael Cera, but he didn't detract from the movie at all. The entire cast was brilliant. Can't get the soundtrack out of my head either. The movie is up there with Inception and Toy Story 3 as the best so far this year. Everyone should see it.

I hope Dark Horse can make this work. Everything about Season 9 is sounding too grand, and they've had enough problems managing Season 8, even with Joss overseeing everything.
Just have to echo everyone's concerns about how the Angel characters will be used. The thought of possibly tying the stories from Season 8 together is pretty exciting (Connor?), and having characters we've never seen interact come together would be cool, but I don't want them to be used just to further Buffy's story. Give them their own problems and developments, just like the show.

There's no question that having BtVS and AtS under one roof will make things easier, from a continuity/story standpoint. I just hope they aren't reacquiring the rights simply to use Angel. By reacquiring Angel, that also means they are getting the show back, not just the character. Gunn, Illyria, Connor, Spike, etc. are all coming back. Give us a proper Angel series and not just the character interacting with Buffy again. This basically sums up my thoughts on this issue. I haven't really been happy with how the Angel series has been handled post-After the Fall, but I respect IDW for continuing the series and giving all of Angel's supporting characters the spotlight. So yeah, whatever this news means, if in fact Dark Horse is getting the Angel property back, give us Angel the series, not Angel Buffy's bitch.

Shocked by how much I enjoyed this issue. Loved the back and forth between Riley and Sam, leading to his ultimate decision. Always felt like Sam got a bad rep in As You Were. I liked her, and it was no different here. Was totally expecting her to die, especially since they were talking about starting a normal life, and was shocked she didn't.
Everything with Angel and the appearance of Whistler was fantastic. Really sheds a little light on his actions, and it makes you think. Would you have done everything he did in order to save the world? Of course I'm still wicked flustered by his weird behavior in Twilight, and what exactly starting that new world had to do with anything. Especially since their world was ending at the same time. So that's causing quite the headache.
But still, great issue.

I was so excited to see Charisma on the big screen during The Expendables, but she is only onscreen for about 3 minutes. Oh well, it was cool while it lasted. Great movie though.

Harmony is the best vampire on both shows. Deal with it.

Days away from buying tickets. Best-weekend-ever.
Can't wait till they put the photo op tickets up. Highly doubt I can afford all, so it's gunna be a tough decision. Charisma and Mercedes are the most tempting though....
