Hey I am writing a dissertation on Buffy, including its influence on culture and its empowerment of the audience. A few years ago I read an article on how a girl fought off more than one attacker thanks to moves she had seen on Buffy, Ive looked for it but cannot find it again, does anyone know of any recent news articles on the same subject, or possibly the one I am thinking of.
Thanks in advance.

I dont wana use the shipper word, but I have always been a fan of Buffy and Angel. But this issue was just over the top ridiculous and I just hope that it's going to make sense in future issues. Like others have said, it would have been just as beautiful/shocking to have them having sex normally while the world falls apart around them. Perhaps they needed to be floating around to get where they need to.
Couple of notes: Willow used orgasm to achieve entry to Saggy (forget the name) As Buffy seemed to, to achieve entry to 'Twilight'.
Angel said last issue that he only took the role of Twilight to avoid more costly death etc. Yet this issue he seems to be happy that they achieved/entered (not sure what verb i'm supposed to be using) 'Twilight'. What the hell IS going on?
How pissed would you be if this has all been part of Buffy's dream since Amy put her under a love spell while asleep? haha

On the pile on top it looks like you can see Warrens/Twilights death machine thingy. So im assuming the top pile is the next issue.
And the story telling of the bottom pile, Spike, Flashback of Faiths explosion, im assuming will be the final issue of "Twilight". Especially with the alternative cover for Twilght part 4, mirroring Buffy's outcastyness in season 7, would make sense to have flashback to when Buffy was outcast/things went wrong.

Are we meant to be questioning Angels motives, or accepting Angel is a good guy now and were just waiting for the rest of the explanation.

But this 'power sucking' isnt her own choice, so she isnt a vampire at all. However, saying that if it turns out that Buffy should have died when the Tibetan (goddesses?) dropped her I could understand the "vampire" comment more.
Imagine if someone told you 100 people died, just because you were you. You'd feel bad, but its not your responsibility, it wasn't your choice.
However, if you were in an accident and SHOULD have died. But you later found out that 100 people died, just so you could live, yeah thats gonna cause some inner turmoil. So hopefully its a "Buffy should have died... again, but didnt" thing.

I agree with the above poster. I laughed at the ridicuousness of Buffy's realization before i got the shock of the comment. She seems to feel worse about something she cant control, than the war she just initiated.

I'm with Paul please stop posting huge posts of unproven stuff its starting to piss me off. I'd rather read speculation than more "I dont like it, even though i dont quite know whats going to happen yet, i hate it, boo!" I for one am enjoying Dorothy's speculation, and think that in their excitment they are simply mistyping/adding a word here or there that doesnt make sense. However, all of their posts made sense to me haha.

what a great issue. i loved the xander/buffy conversation. i've always wanted the to of them to get together, but now after reading this, i think xander is totally right for not going with buffy. i still want to see them together, but they both have to need each other. i did believe buffy though when she says she's had feelings for xander before he and dawn hooked up. and did anybody notice how twilight's font is normal? i know the reveal is out and his captives are supposedly unconscious, but perhaps one of the captives over-hears him speaking to himself and realizes who he is before buffy gets her one-on-one with him. In the Q+A with scott allie, it has said that this has significance. Whether he has stopped using a voice modifier or the person behind the mask has changed is unknown, but the font changing is significant.

That certain piece of dialogue was stunning in terms of Twilight development. The episode itself is Twilighty as a whole. Angel's hallucinations/nightmares are all about Spike being the 'hero' and Angel feeling useless, but the nightmares although being forced are rooted in Angel's psyche. The final lines are also along the line of, "look inside yourself, you have evil and flaws too" to Angel, as Angel looks on (he has no response)
Until ive read these issues, im pretty much confident this is 'Angel's version of 'Restless'.

Not quite sure where to post this but I was just watching Soul purpose, Season 5 of Angel. Brief discussion within the episode:
Angel "Lets kill them all"
Fred "What?"
Angel "Warlocks, minions. Theyre all evil. Lets just wipe them out, we have enough power right?"
Wes "Yes..."
Angel "Well why dont we. Lets go back to basics. Good versus evil. Offing the monsters where we find them..."
The next scene then has Angel have a nightmare about feeling irrelevant. While Spike is praised for being the "hero"
Just thought in light of Twilight reveal, INTERESTING.

So if Buffy is unkillable, perhaps Future dark willow is Buffy with a transformation spell (stay with me) Or there are other reasons, perhaps Willow takes this power from Buffy at some point before the end of season 8. Making Willow the one who is unkillable.
My reason for thinking this is Ripples. Fray being called may be a ripple from the death of Buffy's "unkillable" slayer power being killed while within Willow. This would link why it had to be Buffy with the Scythe that killed Willow.

Wait... we can't buy the #35 cover with the mask on? Lol. I liked that one better. Perhaps its possible to buy too, but it was made to hide the identity of Twilight in early solicitations.

Poor Buffy doesn't look happy. I find it intriguing that there are two different covers which depict Twilight and Angel separately, as if they're two different people. I can't help but hope that supports the theory that there are two different Angels involved here. Hope springs eternal. Or until Joss decides to lower his Hurt Hammer, whichever comes first. Its mentioned in Scott's apology article that the one covering Twilights face is the one that is meant to be released in previews. But the other one is the one that will be on the comic. But the cats out the bag now, so they released both to show us. The OTHER issue is also meant to have released the fake ones. Such as Twilights mask still on in the previews.

That actually really calmed my anger, as i said before, my only problem was being spoiled, and not the spoil itself. But i think it was the right move, Scott is right, I actually feel better now i know it is not a hoax and now i can simply look forward to the story being told. And Andrew, its been said there is way more to this than meets the eye. I don't think its going to be as simple as "Yeah.... Angels evil now" or "Angel THINKS he is doing the right thing...." I still feel Buffy knows more than she is letting on.

And I guess Scott wasn't lying about "Buffy has F#*$ Superpowers . That is awesome. Do you think he said it as a joke, then realised how funny it would be.

As i mentioned a couple of months ago, the line "The most unexpected" made us speculate on the most unexpected people (hank summers for example). Thus making the most expected people (Angel) the least speculated people, making THEM the most unexpected. haha

She has knowledge that transcends time, true. Aluwyn's realm transcends time. Aluwyn herself transcends time. But Willow doesn't time travel. The portal created is more than likely created by FDW's death, not by any particular spell. It's all caused by ripples, as you said. But nothing so far has established Willow's ability to time travel. Fact is, FDW has to use Aluwyn as a relay of sorts. Ok, then change my idea to: DW tells Saga when to pull present willow out of the timeline to stop her magic being taken. Then returns her after the magic purge.
