You all should wait until the forum actually launches. Who knows what else Phil has to tinker with, plus the other mods and I are going to help move content over.

Michelle Yeoh is so great, I hope she's in it too.
Just got the Alien Anthology for Blu-Ray over Black Friday so I'm getting even more pumped for this.

You'd think higher priority sequels would've been from Finding Nemo or The Incredibles, I'm not all that sure why they are doing Cars 2.
I don't mind a Monsters Inc. 2 as I always felt that movie didn't delve into the monster world as much as it could have. With the leaps in their animation prowess, the world should be so much more realized this time around.

At the end of the day I doubt we'll be dealing with significantly more than what we got with Season 8 (~45 total issues). I believe the main title will be shorter, around 20 issues, but once you factor in the proposed Angel, Spike, Willow and Faith spin-offs, that number will reach 40-45 easily, maybe more, who knows.
In the end though, it's your money and you decide what you want to do with it.

Ho hum episode overall. Nothing terrible, just weaker than the last few week's stronger episodes. The final act was great though, and I enjoyed Brittany's storyline. Lea Michele did some great work this week.
Could've done without the Sue=Grinch stuff. It's tired, and it would have worked better without any overt parallels, aside from the song at the end that turns her around.

Hmm, can't say I agree with a lot of that. While interesting, a lot of what they discussed ultimately boils down to needing a longer season. Unfortunately it was only six episodes, so spending time on a shooting range couldn't have been a high priority. A lot of this stuff can easily come up in Season 2, as with 13 episodes, there will be a lot more downtime among the group.
The point of the CDC wasn't as a replacement for Wiltshire. I imagine we'll see Wiltshire early on in Season 2. The CDC storyline happened so the characters could lose any remaining hope of salvation from the government or an authoritative body like the CDC.
All the characters can do now is survive day to day. There's no miracle cure in development as the world is dead. That's powerful stuff that served as a great ending.
I do agree that not including Alan, Donna and the twins could be a misstep (mentioned this earlier). Not necessarily because of what happens to Donna and Alan, but because Ben and Billy provide some interesting development for Carl down the line. Who knows though, they could show up in the Season 2 premiere for all we know.
Interesting article though.

Michonne is definitely on the way, as Frank wants to introduce her asap. If they follow the issue structure closely then we wouldn't see her until early Season 3, but since her introduction doesn't impact any major events that we might see in Season 2, I imagine we'll see her next year.

We can reboot it once the new forum arrives, as I actually have more time for RPing. I'm also developing an idea for another RPG that I'd like to launch.

I love me some Pixar. I've seen and enjoyed every movie except Cars (not that I didn't enjoy it, just never saw it, seems skewed a bit younger than normal Pixar fare).
I always enjoy ranking my favorites so: 1. The Incredibles 2. Toy Story 3 3. Toy Story 2 4. Finding Nemo 5. Monsters, Inc. 6. Toy Story 7. Ratatouille 8. WALL•E 9. A Bug's Life
N/A: 1. Cars

^^ Great review, Wyndam! Will you still be updating the blog with interviews and news over the break? I've been reading the comics all night, and am on issue 25! ;D Woowoo! Now that we've seen the show's format and all, what do you guys expect/want Season 2 to cover? Personally, I'd like to see issues 7-24 included, mostly. I think 13 episodes could cover 18 issues, yes? I mean, a good portion of those issues deal with Alan and his personal struggles, and he hasn't been included in to show. Take out the Alan-ness, and some of the other unneeded subplots, and I think it'd make a pretty decent Second Season. Thoughts? Yeah, now that I won't be writing weekly reviews, I will post interesting news/interviews often. I'll also begin reviewing the comics, starting with a review of the latest arc, then starting monthly reviews of each ongoing issue (starting with issue #80) as well as retro reviews of the past HC's (1-6, generally 1-2 per month until I catch up to the ongoing). For the show I also plan on creating a death chart to track all the deaths on the show. I also want to compare the comic characters to their TV counterparts and see which character works best in each medium, as well as what I'd like to see (and not see) in Season 2. Lots of stuff planned! As for Season 2: Snow! It will not only look great on TV and promotional materials, but I just love horror elements in winter settings (just look at how awesome this cover looks. I'd like to see all the main beats hit on from issues 7-18. So Tyreese, Wiltshire Estates, Hershel's farm and then the prison, with the season ending right as tension boils over between Rick and Dexter. I'm still worried about the lack of Donna/Alan/Ben/Billy and the ramifications that will have down the line on Carl's character development, but we'll see what happens.
