Agreed. But I would much prefer that this thing never sees the light of day at all.

Hulu now has some cool clips of the motion comic up. No full eps but it kinda looks like there might be some there before long. On the dvd release. Alot of places have a price of $31.50. Not so keen on that. Especially since for the last few years a season set of Buffy has been $15-$20. Thinking I'm gonna wait for these to be put up on the internet for free or wait til the price gets lower. Well the reason the Buffy sets have been generally so cheap (and that's not even everywhere...A lot of places still sell them for $30) is because they are a lot older. This is a new product. Plus, bluray, which is always more expensive.

I know they cut some lines/scenes from the first ep (maybe the first few?) but I don't think they've done it since, at least not that I've noticed. Then again I haven't been reading the older issues regularly... It is beyond me why they would cut anything out. I mean, the episodes aren't that long as is. What, 13 minutes? Oh really? That's all? Considering they're only releasing the first 19 on DVD for now, that's really not that much in a set. Yeah. I'm hoping they will continue and do all 40 issues of S8.

I agree with "Hush." It is an excellent "scary vibe" ep that shouldn't require much in the way of backstory. Plus, it would be an excellent episode to discuss and analyze, as it presents a very clear message.

My special friends would be: Willow, Fred, Kaylee, Buffy, and Xander. These are the characters I feel I can relate to in a "most like" way. Fred and Willow because they are the nerdy, geeky, smart, shy, girls. Kaylee because she is the sweetheart who will do most anything for anybody. Xander because he is sort of the "odd man out." He is very self-deprecating and lacks overall confidence, but this never stops him from being there for his friends when he is needed. Buffy because she is strong and tough. She has had her share of heartbreak yet she perseveres. This is something I really admire about her.

That's what I'm saying. It's like their relationship was forced. I have tried very hard on my rewatches to like Kennedy, but so far that hasn't happened. Maybe someday it will, though I don't even like her in S8...But I suppose if there was one good thing I could say about her, at least she didn't mope and whine like the other potentials. lol. But what's worse, inexperienced people who are scared and moping/whining or an inexperienced person being bossy and trying to control people who have fought more apocalypses than you could count on one hand? Haha. I'm afraid you've got me there, Josh.

The whole Kennedy/Willow relationship came out of nowhere though, that's what cracks me up. I mean if you look at the beginning when Kennedy first came in, you could tell Kennedy was obviously into Willow. However, Willow did not seem interested in Kennedy at all. She wasn't even on the radar! How in one episode they are together is so mind boggling to me. It wasn't gradual like any of Willow's past relationships, it was just bang/boom they're dating. That's what I'm saying. It's like their relationship was forced. I have tried very hard on my rewatches to like Kennedy, but so far that hasn't happened. Maybe someday it will, though I don't even like her in S8...But I suppose if there was one good thing I could say about her, at least she didn't mope and whine like the other potentials. lol.

^^ Yeah, I can see that Kennedy had the most experience out of all the girls, but why exactly does that automatically translate to her being in charge of the group? I know she was trying to prepare the girls for battle, but I also think she was worried about saving her own ass as much as (if not more than) theirs. I think what these girls needed was a morale boost, not someone tearing them down (which admittedly, Buffy was guilty off a time or two herself in S7). I think Kennedy calling Chloe maggot was just her chance to show off, and show her superiority, etc. She was supposed to be the girls' equal their peer, what gave her the right to put herself above them? A big mistake for someone already on a power trip, in my opinion. I dunno, I get what you're saying but I guess I just don't like Kennedy's tactics...
She was trying to rebel against Buffy, that's true. But unlike The Watchers' Council, Buffy was actually trying to protect these girls, keep them safe, keep them alive. Kennedy had little appreciation for that (though, to be fair, she was far from the only one).
It wasn't easy for the girls' to be thrust from their homes, granted. But let's not forget that Buffy's life was also turned upside down and disrupted by this. Surely it wasn't easy for her to have her home invaded by a bunch of young girls? To suddenly have even more responsibility on her shoulders?
Just another perspective...

I think I read on Whedonesque that there are missing lines from the motion comics? is there any truth in that (some Xander lines) I hadn't heard that at all. If it's true, why would they even do that? I know they cut some lines/scenes from the first ep (maybe the first few?) but I don't think they've done it since, at least not that I've noticed. ^^ Kennedy may have been nice to Willow, but she certainly wasn't nice to the others (the Chloe "maggot" incident is springing to mind). I hated her disrespect of Buffy. She wanted to be in charge, run the show, and I couldn't stand how she seemed to turn her nose up at everybody, thinking she knew better than all of them. Come to think of it, she wasn't very nice to Willow at times either. Her ignorance of magic really annoyed me, too, but you make a good point that this was used as a plot device to show Willow's growth in this area. Still annoying, though. lol. And to be honest, Kennedy has never been very "hot" in my eyes either. I dunno, I guess her bad attitude just makes her very unattractive to me. I would agree with what you're saying about Kennedy being the rebound for Willow, but you are right that "rebounds" usually don't last so long. I agree that if Kennedy had a nicer personality, she may have been better received by fans (me included).

Kennedy Dawn's really awkward cheerleading Anything Buffy/Riley beer bad Tara dying Dawn kicking Buffy out, i mean what the frilly heck? she kills herself for you and then you're all with the 'lol people died and i'm kicking you out even though this happens all the time' I agree with you on all points, especially Dawn's awkward cheerleading. lol. I cringe every time i see it. Mostly every scene I have a hard time watching is listed. -Empty Place-hands down the hardest. This scene just boils my blood. -Dirty Girls. esp Xander losing his eye -The demon eating Willow's skin -When Buffy cracks Joyce's rib in The Body -Trick strangling Buffy. I hate this scene. -Buffy and Willow fighting in S6. I enjoyed Dark Willow until it got to that part. -The entire episode of As You Were & Seeing Red -Also the scene in Entropy when Xander goes to kill Spike. I agree. Especially with Xander getting his eye gouged out by Caleb. Gruesome. I have to close my eyes and ears at that moment every time. I also hate when Dawn kicks Buffy out, I'm like, "What?!" makes me so mad. Really that whole episode does. I agree with you about Buffy and Willow fighting in S6, too. Although it is kinda cool.

When I first read the subject line my initial reaction was, "What?! When did that happen?!" But then I remembered the scene from S1, The pack. So I guess an argument could be made that Xander did attempt to rape/sexually assault Buffy, but in his defense it wasn't exactly "him," he was possessed by an evil hyena spirit.
