Another question if you don't mind. Do you ever work with cover artist or share ideas about what you think would be an appropriate cover for that issue? Or do they do their own thing, based of the script?

Or do they do their own thing, based of the script? I usually come up with a list of ideas. Most of the time one of those ideas sparks a better idea in the artist's head. Sometimes they go off on their own and come up with a new idea that's better than anything I can come up with. It varies.

I already sent it to them, but I know space is tight. I don't have much control over the final result, I can just send them stuff and hope it makes it in. But know that I did send it. Fingers crossed!

Just how super-awesome would you say Stephen is? Like super-dooper awesome or more run of the mill regular awesome? Would you smell his hair? I don't know him or anything, but from what I hear... he's pretty darn awesome. Just how tall are you anyway? Must say - as awesome as Brian is. Both of you have lovely (smelly???) hair. And are quite tall (to me - I'm almost 4'11") And very handsome (since you are at least 20 years younger than me - very handsome compared to most men in my age bracket - except for Mark Harmon) No questions, Brian, just a plea ...keep writing Angel and Spike. Love everything you have written in there.

Hey Brian, will we ever see Bethany again? She was the psychic chick in the Angel Season Two episode "Untouched".

With Andy Hallet's passing are you going to still be using Lorne in the context that you had planned or is the character going to be absent, at least for a while?
The only reason I ask is because when I read what you write I hear the actor's voices.
Personally, I think the character should continue in whatever way fits the story best. I think it is a nice way to honor his legacy. Just my opinion.

I think it is a nice way to honor his legacy. Just my opinion. To tell you the truth I'm not sure. Lorne is my among my favorite characters and I've worked him into every ANGEL/SPIKE story I've done, but I think part of the fun of reading these comics is imagining the live action versions of them (it is for me, anyway) and it is just heartbreaking to know Andy is not around to do it. That's why I didn't bring up Doyle to Joss (and I don't think Joss wanted to use that character anyway). That said, it would be nice to keep Lorne alive, and that character is the heart of the show. It's a tough call.

I needed a telepath for SPIKE:ASYLUM, and I knew it had to be nice...because it was going to help Spike. I had a blue betta named George who was really docile so I threw him in. Joss took to him and said we should find a place for him in AFTER THE FALL.
I'm glad he was received so well. Thanks guys!
Any more questions?

I got another.
I can understand if you can't say anything at this point. This might be something more along the lines of info that is being saved for IDW to announce at Comic Con but it can't hurt to ask.
Are you involved in anyway with the just announced,'Angel:Only Human' miniseries since it spins out of your story in Angel#23?

Would you ever consider creating an audio drama to go along with the comics? It think it would be a VERY VERY successful move.

Brian, It is SO nice to have you around again. I wish you were still writing Angel Aftermath. Nothing against KA.
My question has to do with the Dru issues. Will we get to see Spike and Dru interact in real time?
AND
If Angel crosses over to Buffy, is there any chance that you might be involved in helping write or plan it? Same for Spike, if he crosses over or any of the ATS characters.

I am not, but if I do my job correctly you'll be salivating at the end of issue 23 to see what comes next. That's not to say it's a cliffhanger, it most definitely is not.

I think though, that if you can't get the original actors playing the original parts in an audio drama, it would seem weird.

I would do it in a second. Millisecond. Though once the Adventures of SPIKE get rolling, I am on that train and that train only in terms of the Buffyverse. That's my little corner to play in.

Hi again... Do you really think that it was Cordelia's presence in the gentle breeze, trying to dissuade Angel's pessimism? and why do it when Angel is thinking about Fred and Wes? does she know something about them? (#17) lol.. thanks.

I think though, that if you can't get the original actors playing the original parts in an audio drama, it would seem weird. I can guarantee you that most of us (emphasis on MOST) wouldn't mind if you guys used professional sound-alikes if the original actor couldn't make it. I would definitely go out and buy it and I don't even like After the Fall. Can you at least bring it up to Joss and see if he would at least consider it for After the Fall and/or Season Eight?
