Are there any characters that you will not use, or use again? any that you are 100% sure that you will never touch? (in 'Spike' or any unknown future 'Angel' comics)

Did he mention any explanation of how Buffy became a vamp, and how she would have gotten back to normal for season 8? Come to think of it... do you think Joss considers Buffy season 8 and Angel: AtF to be in the same continuity anymore?

Yessir, he does.
It would have been the vamp Buffy from the alternate dimension, last seen on the TV show.

Really? alternate dimension? That is out there and Vamp Buffy wasn't really from an alternate dimension. ... (I also think that Wesley and Fred should be left alone, unless shown in heaven )

Sorry, I'm rusty on my Buffy episodes. Where was Vamp Buffy from? In the episode "Nightmares" everyone's worst nightmares come true. Being a vamp is Buffy's worst nightmare.

Joss may have been referring to "The Wish"... which would indicate he's thinking Wishverse Buffy didn't just get killed, but vamped. Kind of odd, since she died by having her neck broken, not by being bitten. (Willow, however, was an awesome vamp in that episode... bored now.)
Vamp Buffy from "Nightmares" only existed while Billy Palmer was in a coma... not sure if she was really a true vampire then.

I think Nightmares is the biggest likelihood.Vamp Buffy was from an alternate world, and as we know from Dopplegangland people can come to Buffy's world from other dimensions or realities. Nice quick explaination, rather than "oh it's Buffy from that alternate world, the one I [Angel] do not remember, who got her neck snapped but then got vamped ofscreen".
Nightmares Vamp Buffy would've had the right emotional impact too, she's from season one, or the early years, when Buffy and Angel still had epic and forever written all over them. Wishverse Buffy didn't know Angel, and didn't care when he died.

Hi Brian!
First I have to say, Brian Lynch + Franco Urru = SPIKE! After reading Spike: Asylum and Spike: Shadow Puppets I could think of no other 'voice" for my favorite Buffy character than the combination of Lynch/Urru.
Although I will miss you greatly at Angel - it thrills me to pieces to know you will launch Spike: "Nobody's Fool". (Although I seriously do like Spike: Unlimited! Think you might be onto something!)
I am first and foremost a Spike fan - Spuffy fan second. But the moment you introduced our fair-haired vampire to Beck - well - I think we may have potential for a new Spike romance. I would love to see Spike enter a new relationship! Would this be a pairing you would like to write?
I would also like to see you work with James Marsters! After his experience with - um - "another comic book" he seems to be reluctant to take on another. I'm not sure he realizes that IDW is publishing Angel/Spike. I know I've shoved every issue of Spike: After the Fall under his nose to sign as well as the hard back collection! I encouraged him to speak with Juliet Landau regarding her very positive experience w/the Drusilla series.
Maybe you would have some luck getting him to work with you? Wow. Lynch/Urro/Marsters! That's about as close to perfection as you could get!
Thanks for being "Spike" for me - thank Franco for me as well!
Terry
