Hmm, I think Kendra as a vamp would have been an interesting thing to explore story wise. The young girl who dedicated her life to the mission being turned into the very thing she loathed and was raised to fight against would have been the ultimate tragedy. And it would have been a perfect way for Drusilla and Co to make Buffy suffer even more. Having her fellow slayer not only lose her life, but to see her body taken over by a demon. This certainly would have thrown Buffy into orbit, which would be made worse by the fact that she would then have to bring herself to kill her fellow ally, someone she had grown to care for. With this in mind, I think it's for the best that Kendra was killed immediately by Dru. In a warped way, you might think of it as a mercy on Dru's part that she did not prolong Kendra's suffering.
Something I've never understood, though, Kendra being a slayer, you would think that Dru would want to feed off of her blood rather than simply slit her throat. The vamps always talk about how powerful slayers blood is. Maybe Dru was just in a hurry? Or she wasn't hungry?
Maybe his drinking of Slayer's blood is one of the reasons Spike is more human than other vamps? Maybe that's why Dru didn't take any?
Ha, good point. Could be.
I think it was just something different and Dru just fancied killing someone to hurt Buffy not actually drain her or sire her which would of been interesting
Yeah. I agree that it may have been more about torturing Buffy and making her suffer. Dru is crazy enough for that, after all. I definitely wouldn't be surprised if that was the logic behind the act. Still though, you'd think that as a vamp she would have at least been tempted. Especially given that Spike had drained two slayers himself. Maybe because she had already tasted slayers blood, the craving just wasn't there.
