www.tfaw.com/blog/2009/10/07/bill-willingham-talks-about-angel-fables/Very indepth interview with Willingham about the upcoming arc. Turns out that 'Crown Prince Syndrome' is the name of the 1st issue (#28) but that the arc is called 'Immortality for Dummies' Which is the best title ever:) Love the idea for Angel's story in it...what do y'all think?

Fantastic interview. I love the name of the arc, and that each issue will have a separate title. I changed the titles to the #28 and #29 threads to reflect the proper arc title.
Angel's story sounds great, and I am happy to hear that Gunn and Illyria will be back. I am getting so excited about this!

I'm looking forward to a bigger cast again and how that one will turn out. It's a nice blend of known faces and new characters.
And the title is fantastic indeed. can't wait!

No mention of Lorne. I hope that he is also a member of the team. Interesting interview !

This is sounding pretty good so far. Love the ideas of how the general population is coping with what happened in After the Fall. The cast is sounding good, except those two. I'm most excited for the Gunn stuff, that sounds great.

Cool interview. Willingham seems to have some really good ideas for the series.
Just one thing... is it just me, or did he seem really dismissive of After the Fall?

His reaction is similar to what many on this very forum have expressed - Not Fade Away was an outstanding ending to Angel, and following it up seems almost wrong. It's not dismissive of AtF more than it is pointing out how awesome NFA was as a proper ending to Angel.

It's not dismissive of AtF more than it is pointing out how awesome NFA was as a proper ending to Angel. It was just the way he talked about "somebody else" doing the dirty work. Also, he said that his metaphorical hell was way more interesting than any literal hell. And he said it was time to take Connor past the whole tantrum stage... hello, Connor hasn't betrayed Angel since season 4? Where have you been? Maybe I'm just taking it all out of context.

I think the progress he's talking about for Connor is more connor centric. Like he made progress in After the fall and progress in aftermath (dont crucify me Ignore this if you didnt like it lol) but the crown prince syndrome issue will be all about him is my understanding and thats a bigger step than we've seen in awhile.

I think that it's more a case of him wanting his Angel stories to stand on there own, and not be compared to After the Fall.
