I grew up loving the pop music of the 90's & early 2000's. I was a HUGE NSYNC fan. I mean obsessed to the point when a new cd was released I had to go get it the very day it was released, and had it memorized within 1-2 days, lol. I was also a huge fan of the Backstreet Boys, Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera, and a few others. I was big into the pop phase. I still listen to those songs, in secret though, lol. I'm still more partial to NSYNC songs though. My absolute shameful confession for music is that I used to enjoy Aaron Carter's music. *Hides in shame* I look back at that with a bit of horror now. \ Aarong Carter? If there was an award for most shameful music confession, you should win! You get karma for admitting this. Believe me I know, I cringe that I ever liked that. lmao. I only listened to his second cd, I didn't like his first one. Still pretty darn shameful though, lol.

Depending on my mood, I might play me "U Luv Shameless Pop!" mix, which includes Tata Young, the Pussycat Dolls, Paradiso Girls, and Girlicious. All artists that are paid to simply entertain, and be slutty. But damn if they aren't catchy and mood-lifting!

I love that the majority of these confessions fall into the "Pop" genre. Why is there such shame and embarressment surrounding this genre?
I too am guilty. As I said, Spice Girls all the way, Baby! Love them! They are seriously still my favourite band.

^^ Hm, well with pop music like the Pussycat Dolls, they make pretty shameless music. They're literally just a Burlesque group that records albums and sells sex appeal. They have no other goals/intentions for the music they do, so it can be rather embarrassing to admit you listen to them lol. It's cool that you still like Spice Girls, AngelFaith! I liked Spiced Girls back in the day, but now my love for them has watered down to a nostalgic appreciation. I have a friend who still loves them enough to go to their concerts

^^ Since we're on the topic of shameless girl groups with sex appeal, I've suddenly become a fan of Danity Kane. (My friends want me to stop asking them if they have a first aid kit handy... I can't blame them )

I forgot about them! It's weird that I'm not that ashamed that I like them but I'm ashamed of the other girl groups XD I think it's because they actually wrote a lot of the songs on the second album, and (while not the best written songs ever) they actually put heart into some of the songs. I have both Danity Kane albums and I'm waiting for D Woods to get over herself so they can get back together, haha.

You mean "Striptease" didn't win song of the year? That song is catchy as hell. ;D I agree, they definitely have heart. Maybe I should look into getting the first album too, hehe. A lot of my other music confessions fall in the pop genre too, especially if there's a reality show involved. Like.. Eden's Crush. Does anyone even remember them?

Thanks so much. And you better bet that Evanescence will be high up on that list some day. Amy Lee was amazing live, back when I saw her in concert. Although, there's really no shame in listening to her...

I used to play it on repeat all the time. Wow, that takes me back. I saw someone mentioned they have all the High School Musical songs, I'm ashamed to admit that I do too. They're just so damn catchy!
