How do you rewatch?

What's your usual Buffy rewatching routine?

I cycled through the entire series probably three times, going back to "Welcome to the Hellmouth" after "Chosen." But then I found myself watching it less often, and just picking out whatever episode I happened to feel like revisiting at the moment.

Anyone else?

I usually just pick a certain episode I want to watch. I tend to stay away from S1 and the Riley/Initiative season. I usually watch "Villians", "Two to Go", and "Grave" in a set though.

Although right now I am going through a complete rewatch and I've done the full rewatch a few other times too I normally don't do this.

Usually I will either watch the episode/episodes I feel like or I'll watch chunks of three-six eps that are in a row.

Usually I remember a quote, fight or piece of music I love and then watch that episode. Then I'll watch the rest of the season because I remember how awesome the next bit is, and then the next bit, and then the next thing I know I've run through the season.

I tend to just watch whichever episode pops into my mind, which usually leads to me watching a full season, but completely out of order.

well usually when i do a rewatch i do seasons 1 all the way through to 7 and dont miss any eps because id feel guilty and i wouldnt think it was a genuine rewatch lol.
my last rewatch was feb last year to may last year. i havent had the time to start a rewatch so i just watch an ep or a group of eps when i get the urge to watch whicever ones they are.

im really itching to watch tough love through to the gift. may do that tomorrow nite

Last time I had a rewatch, I watched both Buffy and Angel in order and episodically. So when Angel started, I would watch Buffy, then Angel, then Buffy and so on. Last rewatch was from December to about March, so I'll probably do it again soon. Other times I usually just watch an episode that I'm interested in, mostly Angel season 5 episodes

I look through my Buffy collection, pick an episode I haven't seen in a while and I must admit that if I'm in a hurry I just watch the scenes with Spike and Angel in them.

I usually pick whatever season I want to watch all the way through (it's a pain to keep switching disks), but sometimes I'll just watch episodes at random.

I don't really have a specific order. Sometimes I feel like one ep, sometimes like several eps in a row, chronologically that is. I rarely feel like a marathon.

I tend to go through the whole thing from start to finish. Or I just watch the musical.

Because i've seen all the episodes(which im guessing almost everyone here has), i skip around to what episode i feel like watching. but if i never saw the series, i would want to go in order.

I like to go all the way through. I've done a complete rewatch about four or five times, and I'm nearly finished another. I know I've watched season 1 and 7 in full, but without the rest of the show. And I've picked episodes I'd just like to watch too. I prefer to do a full watch when I've got the time, so I picked that option. If I was really busy I probably wouldn't like doing full rewatches.

I've only done the complete rewatch once, from beginning to end. I usually stay with one season and skip around episodes.

I reread books like that too. I'll read one form teh middle adn then the end then the beginning and jump all over the place.

I go back to certain episodes. I usually find myself watching The Body, The Gift, Once More, With Feeling, The Wish, Passion, ect.

I sometimes do just a random episode here or there. Others I do chucks. Rarer, I do from beginning to end rewatches.


It just depends on what I'm looking for at the moment.

Sometimes, when watching a episode in one season, then on another, my brain has a hard time to adjust to the different arcs and character developments. "Hey, Cordelia isn't suppose to be snippy, she's nice now. Oh right, it's this season I'm watching." Sometimes I need to actually think "New season, different characters/stories" before I watch.

It varies. But at least once a year I'll do a full run-through from 'Welcome to the Hellmouth' to 'Chosen'. The rest of the time I'll watch an individual season as well as chunks of a season and/or individual episodes. Depends how I feel. I finished my last full run-through back in May. Since then I've rewatched lots of individual eps (both on DVD and caught randomly on TV). I'm currently rewatching season 2 'Innocence' to 'Becoming 1 & 2'. This is due to a conversation with a friend about how great a season it is after I'd recently converted her to the way of the slayer.
