I guess there's won't be any variant covers this time around ... none with the preview, and no separate entries on the list of titles sent out to comic stores. That's too bad, I've missed seeing new stuff from Dave Dorman, even if it's not Star Wars.  |

GREAT issue. I loved seeing Illyria in her original form again, and for most of the book even. And it mixed well with Gunn's quite literal trip down memory lane. Can't wait for the finale!  |

to be honest there wasn't really any major story points in this one as far as the overall verse was concerned so this issue doesnt seem to have gotten alot of coverage.

This issue was pretty good. I enjoyed seeing the Old Ones back in the day, especially with Messina's beautiful artwork. He's definitely the best artist so far at drawing Illyria in her true form.
Plot-wise, there seems to be a lot of random flashbacks and exposition about the characters' pasts that I hope all adds up by the end of the series.

Did this come out last Wednesday? Didn't see anything letting me know on Whedonesque, figured it wasn't out yet Release date was October 14, 2009. So yes, it came out last Wednesday. |

I do like these mini series/spin off ideas. even though IDw is gonna be more motivated about how much they can milk the franchise the flip side is we get to delve into characters that may not see alot of face time in the main series. More than that we can see them develop as appose to seeing the image in aftermath of gunn and illyria driving off in the convertible and then 10 issues l8er the reappearance they r supposed to make in "crown prince syndrome" with like a page or two explanation of what they've been up to would suck.

I was a little let-down with this issue.
The flashbacks were good but they felt like they were put into the story with very little thought to where they were put.
I think that they hurt the pacing of this issue.

I just read this issue! I enjoyed it a lot, but it seemed like nothing happened! O.O A few flashbacks, and Illyria using her time/space powers... And Illyria walking out of fire... Not that much.  |
