I thought this issue was good. Seems the story is finally getting to a point of having a big picture (for the Big Bad). Glad to see the plot of this series is gradually improving since the last few issues. Now I'm more intrigued than before in what is happening in the Angel comics.

I hope this thing with vampires healing is resolved quickly or else we really are gonna have to consider this series not canon since vampires in season 8 don't regenerate limbs, I mean it''s a nice idea for an isolated incident but not as a forever kind of thing and hopefully willingham knows that to.

Well, from the reading, it sounds like Willingham just added a quick fixer-upper explanation about vampire limb regeneration because of the Spike backlash a few issues back. It doesn't sound like a major plot point so much as an official fanwank. Kinda like how Amy made it clear in random Season Eight dialog that Warren and the First-masquerading-as-Warren were two different entities.

Does this issue have its own self title as well? I know that the other issues had those.

Kinda like how Amy made it clear in random Season Eight dialog that Warren and the First-masquerading-as-Warren were two different entities. Given that Willingham is very much a professional writer, I would imagine that the whole limb dusting debacle was probably planned from the start. The editor from IDW wrote a letter to the fanbase that more or less said 'we have a plan, wait until we unravel it'......so I would like to think they knew what they were doing. The fan reaction was likely to be anticipated (as would be the stir it caused) after all, even negative publicity raises the fans & sells books.

Definitly one of the best Angel issues in some time. I have a reignited interest in the book. I know that Willinghan has the chops to write a great story, so it is good to see him living up to his potential. I hope that this continues.
I have to wonder how far in advance this was planned that James would be a villian. Has this been the plan since Aftermath or is it a reaction to the negative response of the exapansion of Team Angel?

Whereas the rest is the self title? Sorry, for all of the questions, Im just trying to update the Buffy wiki with some correct info.

Plus, he's stated that he does not plan to make his stories match up with S8. I really hope he does, because I still try to consider these stories canon... on some degree, at least. xD

To be honest, I am NOT liking what's going on in Buffy season 8 now. The last issue actually annoyed me. But I have to wait til the end of the season to make my complete and final judgment. The Angel series' storyline now may not have a grand scheme...yet, but at least I was interested to know what's going to happen next. It's a shame that Willingham's arc(s) most likely aren't considered canon because it seems like he is taking the story to a promising new direction. Knowing that the inclusion of entertaining new characters such as Laura won't be canon either also annoys me.

And my unpleased self is getting even more unpleased. But I'm thinking Joss will fix everything... Well, hoping, really. xD In my book, this series is canon. It's the only story containing these characters, atm, too! I need my Illyria fix! D: I do think the book is being taken in good stories, but the characters are still off. Most, actually. Connor and Angel seem to be pretty in character, IMO. Illyria, Kate, Spike, ect seem to be struggling in character, though. And am I the only one who wonders, "What's up with Groo?" He's appeared in #'s 26, 27, and Angel Special: Lorne. He played a decent role in AtF too. He keeps popping up out of nowhere.

The guy now has: A dragon A flying horse A flying skateboard I'm guessing he's on vacation somewhere Seriously though, yeah I've wondered where he has gone off too; maybe they figured there was so many cast members already they gave him some time off to romp with Cordy, Cordy & his skateboard?XD

And since they are putting Lorne's character to rest(for now), I don't think we'll be seeing Groo anytime soon. Though, it would be a nice surprise to see him again. Angel has such a great cast of characters, they just need to adjust the proper attention to tell their stories while simultaneously delivering on the major plotline.

Pretty good issue. I like that James is really villain. James was a terrible charcter in Aftermath, but with this retcon, he could become a interesting charcter. I'm loving the Eddy Hope story.

So this could mean that 'TPTB' have been double crossed once again by one of their own...

Jenny Frisons art here is supposedly for the issue 33 cover (but there has been other art that had seemingly been mislabeled). www.cadencecomicart.com/art.php?page=9032Anyone know which cover it actually belongs to?

Malware? -EDIT Nevermind, I see it now. That sucks, not being able to link. I'll have to email the site owner. This link is hopefully safe (I'll try it first). www.cadencecomicart.com/artist.php?artist=21EDIT- Dammit. That's the exact link I have on my favorite-meny in my web browser. I got the link to the website from Frison herself(supposedly, I can't recall where I got her email).
