i voted for the buffy decoy in the chain...she was so poignant and heroic...as well as a smart ass coming in second, i think renee since she has actually shown a lot of personality and humor with xander the main reason i'm not jumping on the 'i heart satsu' bandwagon is b/c i feel that for all the attention she's been given in the comics, i don't have any idea who she is. all i can say to characterize her is she loves buffy, has great taste in clothes, is hot, has talent as a slayer according to buffy, and likes cinnamon lip gloss. all that seems pretty superficial and dependent on buffy's perspective. what has satsu done to impress anyone? is she strong? is she smart? is she funny? is she heroic? to all these questions, a resounding 'i have no idea' she seems nice enough, but what quality does she have that makes her truly admirable as a slayer and as a character? i don't mean to come off as a satsu-hater because i think she's ok, just not great. maybe she'll get more characterization as more issues come out, but right now i'm not exactly swooning.

I voted Renee, she's quite funny even if I don't think I'm gonna like her couple with Xander ! But I hadn't really noticed Satsu until #11...

I really liked Leah and Rowena at first, with their accents and everything, and Leah's cool big hair, but then they disappeared after issue 4 until issue 12, so they really haven't been develped.
I liked Renee until last issue. I thought she was just incredibly annoying.

I like Leah most, I'd say -- she was very winning in 8.04 the way she graciously reassured Satsu that she'd do fine without actually saying so. Also, in 8.12, I liked that she was on the ball and about business in the "staff meeting". Leah rules.
I like both Satsu and Renee (how is liking Xander a personality flaw? the hell?), and already think of them as part of "the gang". It's obvious from around 8.06 that these are the two that are the new significant characters, and they both are pretty enjoyable.
I loved Genevieve, and think it was almost a waste to kill her (although 8.09 -- to me still the best issue -- was the only one to make me actually tear up, in that scene). Vaughan did a great job making her this arrogant, hateful, but still sympathetic and tragic figure.

Is it Leah that has red hair? Yes. Very BIG red hair. I hope they explain Leah's hair as the result of a botched supernatural experiment. It really is the most inappropriate hairstyle for someone who spends a proportion of her time zipping down ropes dangling out of helicopters. She looks like Jenny from Bucky O'Hare (Google it). The phonetic accents are embarassing, too. Particularly for someone who lives in Scotland. MB x

For me it was the Buffy Decoy. I almost started crying when she died... which is a little strange since I barely knew her. It just hit me hard.
At this point I'm on the fence with Satsu, though I'm leaning toward the liking of her. Renee for me... I don't know, I don't think I'll ever really like her. I just don't like Renee/Xander... Probably because Anya was amazing... I'm pretty bias on that one though.
