Solicits are out for the first issue! ANGEL: A HOLE IN THE WORLD #1
Written by Scott Tipton, art and cover by Elena Casagrande.
IDW's series of adaptations of landmark Angel episodes continues with "A Hole in the World," one of the series' most heartbreaking episodes! Adapting both "A Hole in the World" and "Shells," this five-issue mini-series tells the tragic tale of how Illyria came to fight alongside Angel, and at what terrible cost. This month, a mysterious shipment to Wolfram & Hart puts Fred in mortal danger...
32 pages, $3.99.Cover looks fantastic. Is that Illyria's sarcophagus on the right?

Beautiful cover. I think though that I will wait for the TPB of this. I got the singles of the last 2 ep adaptations. Then I got the hc of Smile Time, and I know I am gonna get the NFA TPB....so gotta hold out and wait for this to be collected. Which will prob be about this time next year lol:)

I hope that another Omnibus is announced soon. There are a lot of comics that can still be collected. I am sure there are a few from the old IDW run that didn't make it into the first Angel Omnibus, or the Spike one coming soon. I'd like to see all of the episode adaptations in one, plus Blood & Trenches and Angel vs. Frankenstein can be included as well.

I hope they make this into a HC. If not, I may just wait for a Omnibus(if another comes with it).

Why the is Spike on the Cover? again he takes the spotlight away from Wes. lol I would have liked Gunn to also be on a cover.

Well Wesley is on the first two covers, and A Hole in the World is just as much about Spike and Angel doing everything possible to save Fred as it was about Fred and Wesley's final moments.
Plus, the scene on the cover is when Angel and Spike realize there is nothing they can do, so it would be odd if Angel and Gunn were on there together.

True, but I want to see Gunn on a cover since he is part of Illyria coming back into this world.

Well we still have 2 Shells issues, where Gunn's betrayal is revealed, so he may be on one.

Right, because we don't find out yet about that untill later on, anyway... I might just pick up one issue that I really like and save the rest for the TPB.

Cover and solicit for issue #4: ANGEL: A HOLE IN THE WORLD #4
Written by Scott Tipton, art and cover by Elena Casagrande. After recovering her full powers, Illyria sets out to reclaim her position as ruler of the world, seeking her vast army that exists between our plain of existence and has been awaiting her return. Meanwhile, Wesley discovers Gunn's horrifying role in Fred's death and enacts his own kind of justice.
32 pages, $3.99.I really love Elena's covers. This one has some anime flair to it, which works quite well.

Very, very cool looking cover! It has a nice shot. I think these two eps are/were the best choice for an adaption. Smile Time and Not Fade Away were nice choices too. <3 I hope they don't overdue the adaptions. :/ I'd think these would be enough for extra cash. I'd hate to see an "Angel: The Cautionary Tale of Numero Cinco 1-3"

I would hate that too, I have only seen that ep once, when it first aired on TV, never again lol. You're Welcome, Hero, Waiting in the Wings and Lullaby I would be happy with.

I think I must be in the minority - but I loved Cautionary tale of Numero Cinco. I think Season 5 started off weakly and didnt really feel like 'Angel' again till that episode.
