I hope we get new "missing" scenes from the episode, maybe a few with Fred and the others talking about Angel the puppet.

Although I doubt that this comic can be more than a shadow to the episode, I hope it sells well so we get more original storylines next time.

Scott Tipton posted over on IDW forums, to say that the book will be bi-monthly to allow Messina to stay on the project, as he is heavily involved with other titles for IDW, so the 3rd and final issue will be out in April

Not too sure how I feel about this. On the one hand, it might be fun... but if I'm going to buy a comic, I'd rather read new stories rather than episode adaptations.

I believe this mini-series is going to be released bi-monthly, so that IDW can keep David Messina on the project.

Just so u all know; this comic DOES have extra scenes that werent in the episode. in the first issue ,which i have recently read, there was an extra scene with the one and only biggest bad ass of all time, SPIKE. so buy this shit so IDW makes more angel comics

Anyone pick this up today? ITs a fun read overall, but we don't really learn anything new. There is the extra scene between Angel and Spike which is kinda cute I suppose. They talk about his realationship with Nina and have some banter about Spike taking a car. It was a nice dialog. I'll keep getting them to add to my collection.

I picked it up today when I grabbed Buffy #21. Pretty enjoyable so far. Since we have all seen the episode it is not like we will be getting any surprises with these episode adaptations, but the extra scenes are nice. I am really enjoying Messina's art as well (and cover).

I am looking forward to reading the Not Fade Away adaptation more, but I am glad I picked this up. Always nice to walk into a comic shop and leave with two new Buffyverse comics.

We rely on our members to bring in new content, but more often than not, the latest news can also be found over at Whedonesque. Try checking there periodically... I do at least once a day.
