Pet Peeves?

when people at my work are sitting in drive-thru, and start to order their food when they have been sitting there for less than a minute and think that because I haven't asked them "What can I get for you today", they can just order and that I'm not doing something that prevents me from taking their order THAT SECOND.

Here are some of my pet peeves.

~People who make certain noises when they eat. The two big ones: people who chew loudly and people who moan/go 'Mmm' repeatedly when they eat. If I hear either of those type of noises I lose my appetite.

~When I'm in line anywhere and someone just cuts in front of me.

~When someone asks me 'How can you like (fill in the blank)?' Or something along those lines. Recently I was taking the bus and I was reading a romance novel and this woman told me I should read something "real", and asked how could I like that drivel. On my personal time I read books for enjoyment, I don't question when people are reading Tolstoy or a horror novel or a mystery novel. If that's what you enjoy/want to read have at it.

~When you have a dream job/something that you really want to do and someone tells you that you can't do it or that it's a stupid dream/unrealistic dream.

Here are mine:

• When people claim they are fighting for or protecting their rights when in reality they're just being racist, sexist or some other form of prejudice.
  
  
• When people touch my stuff. Mostly my computer, video games, DVDs, phone and other electronics.
  
  
• When I'm casually singing or humming a song and someone decides to jump in and sing / hum along.
  
  
• When people assume I'm into that Twilight "oh vampires are so sexy" thing just because I like Buffy.
  
  
• Arrogance and ignorance. Especially when combined, which they often are.
  
  
• When people don't put their DVD back in the case and back on the shelf when done viewing.
  
  
• Those people who think they're sooo cool because they do drugs.
  
  
• Those people who think they're sooo much better than everyone because they don't do drugs.
  
  
• When people don't like 30 Rock.

I haven't posted here in forever! I have so many pet peeves I can go on forever, but for today I'll just go with:

When I turn around the corner and someone else is turning around the corner from the opposite direction and we slam into each other. I apologize and the person proceeds without even looking at me. Nutwads.

People who go out of their way to NOT listen to mainstream because they feel it makes them cool, deep, different, and everything they're NOT.

When a guy tries to pick me up by saying something like, "You're cute. Are you in highschool?" Um...no, I'm not. I'm 21. And you shouldn't be asking me out if I was because you are clearly too old to be dating a high schooler.

Ashley Tisdale, that hooker Miley Cyrus, Zooey Deschanel's acting in "Tin Man," and sometimes Felicia Day. Even though I'm half in love with her, my not-boyfriend is completely in love with her and that's sooo not cool.

I have to agree with you on this. If I had thought of it it certainly would be on my list. And I just don't hate it with music. I also hate it when people do it with TV shows, movies, books, etc..

Another pet peeve of mine is when I let someone borrow a book/movie/etc. and they bring it back in worse condition then when I let them borrow it.

Yes. People who don't say please, thank you, and excuse me drive me bonkers. I've held the door open for people and some just ignore me. No nod of the head, no thank you, they just walk through the door like it opened all by itself.

I dislike that too. I never understood that. I'm the kind of person who doesn't care if it's mainstream or not if I like it I'll listen to it/read it/watch it whatever.

On this note, people who misspell the word "definitely." It's tough to spot, I know, because people often spell it like "defiantly" which won't come up on spellcheck because it's also a word. XD But I'm just a spelling freak, I guess.

I also hate it when people don't wash their hands when they leave the bathroom. Just...ew. And when people leave the lights on in a room when they're not even in it. Boggles my mind.

When I'm upset and some one tells me to "chill out." I get even more angry. XD

When people message me on MSN and then don't SAY anything. <__<

I'm sure there are dozens more. I can be very intolerant.

I second ALL of these. You can also add people who request my friendship on facebook and then never talk to me. I delete those kind of people.

• How people put sterotypes on gays.
  
• When your old friends don't talk to you anymore because they just don't like you anymore
  
• People who think it's 'normal' or 'cool' to do drugs.
  
• When your at school and people either stop in front of you to talk or to make out.
  
• When teachers just think you have no life outside of school
  
• People that are REALLY annoying

I hate it when people chew things, my sister munches away at the ends of her pens and ruins them! And I know it's all Giles-ish but tardiness, why can't people just be on time? It's not like there isn't a clock on every phone and every wall!

When people, such as my 15 year old brother, thinks it's just dandy to get out of the shower and not use a towel for their feet when getting out of their shower. No, no. Not for him. God forbid.

Then when you are going into the bathroom you step into all the water that is scattered all over the floor. Jesus.
