I just watched "Rocky" for the first time last night. To this point, it had never really occurred to me to bother with the series, it being so long and about boxing, which is hardly my passion. However, having seen "Million Dollar Baby" (anything Clint makes is definitely worth a watch, let's face it) and loving it, I thought what the hell. I thought "Rocky" was very good. While I don't think it should have beaten "Taxi Driver" to Best Film in 1976 (but then the Oscars have always been sh*t), it portrayed a nice guy in a really run-down area with a lot of pride and feeling. The character comparison between Rocky Balboa and Apollo Creed was well-done without being forced and the romance doesn't feel superfluous to the rest of the story. Good stuff.

Just watched The Eye today. It wasn't the best movie but I did enjoy it.

Ooh. I liked The Eye. Got a bit crappy near the end though. Last film I watched. Bratz The Movie my new housemates put it on yesterday . . . certainly was an experience. A bit like a crappier version of Mean Girls. Bratz like the creepy plastic dolls? Didn't Barbie sue them into non-existence? That's kind of weird. I once got a movie in the mail from 'MyScene' which was addressed to 'the super-hip girl living at' my address. I never watched it, so I can't really compare it to anything.

“Daria- is it fall yet?” I strongly recommend this for its nostalgic appeal to young adults who grew up in the 1990s...

Just watched Interview With the Vampire. And I'm feeling nostalgic for Tim Burton Batman, so I'll be chucking that on later

Sorority Row! Woo-hoo that movie just came in theaters today and it was so awesome. Way better than that other sorority horror, Black Christmas. (No offense to Michelle Trachtenberg, she was great in that movie.)

And I'm feeling nostalgic for Tim Burton Batman, so I'll be chucking that on later Always a good idea! I saw "All That Jazz" yesterday, which is a maudlin and yet full of razzmatazz semi-autobiography of dance choreographer and "Cabaret" director Bob Fosse. It's one of the more celebrated films starring Roy Scheider of "Jaws", "Marathon Man", "The French Connection" fame and deservedly so. Scheider's performance is incredible, heightening the madness of scenes such as one in which he's simultaneously dying in a hospital bed watching a series of dance numbers performed by his friends and family about his death and also berating himself from the directors chair for forgetting his lines! I've never seen anything quite like this film, and was hugely impressed. Apparently, it's considered very similar to 8 1/2 by Fellini, but having not seen that film, I can't comment.

Well, I went ahead and watched Tim Burton's Batman, followed straight after by Batman Returns. Ah, love those films. Just as good as Nolan's

Good job Chris! I love Burton's and Nolan's batmans Tonight I watched Hercules, Breakfast Club and Let The Right One In! Nice to sit and do nothing. Plus I never watch movies alone, so it was a nice change.

Watchmen. It was incredible. Way beyond my expectations. (The book hadn't thrilled me) The casting director was completely spot-on. And the soundtrack was awesome. I particularly liked the opening sequence that was to 'The Times They Are a Changin'. It was such a good style, and I love how it set the scene for the time period. I did watch it with my dad though, so the really long sex scene with Laurie and Dan was a bit awkward.

I just watched Dakota Skye. It was pretty good. Kind of simple, despite all the complex emotions taking place.
