Obviously stolen from the Buffy thread. I had to do it.
The whole vampire can't get drunk thing is another one that annoys me. Can they get drunk or not? In The Girl In Question I believe Angel said that alcohol doesn't really have any affect on vampires and I believe Spike acknowledges this. However it manage to affect Spike as he mentions in Harm's Way. Plus even Harmony claims she had blackout in the same episode after drinking. Or did that Tamika girl had anything to do with that one.
Plus Cordelia's hair near the end of season 3. Hated it.
Andrew on Angel. Even though it was comical it really would have made more sense if it were Giles had been there himself.
That's all for now.

Something that bothes me both on BtVS & Ats: Are suppose to believe that neither Spike nor Angel have any beard growth at all? Spike's crazy in the basement look comes without a beard, and Angel living on rats in the streets look is also missing a beard. Add the obvious continuity error from Angel After the fall when Angel's voice over says that vampires don't have to shave because their hair doesn't grow, and I can safely say that vampire-hair bugs me.

Spike's hair does grow... doesn't it? When he's in the basement, his hair is longer. Oh, or maybe it's the lack of hair gel that I'm not considering. I think I would've liked to see Angel do laundry. We see Harmony pick up his dry cleaning in S5, but how did he do the laundry before? Does he frequent the 24 hr laundromat? How does he get demon blood out of the leather? Does he buy his clothes online to stay out of the sun? Yeah, these are the questions that run through my head.

How Angel managed to afford to live anywhere before he started Angel Investigations is something to think about.

That's what I always thought anyway (I couldn't even get drunk off of bottles that small and I have no super vampire enhanciness that makes it harder for me to get drunk).

I meant that his crazy in the basement look (long hair, roots showing) came with a smooth chin and cheek. I thought it was weird that it was that way for both Angel & Spike when they seemed to not give a damn about cutting their hair.

Spike was drunk in "Lover's Walk" and "Not Fade Away".
Maybe all of a vampire's hair can grow but only to the length it was when the human was turned, so it's not really growth, more like regeneration. That would exaplain why Spike and Angel have had long hair on occassion, and also why they never grow beards.

I already mentioned this on the Buffy 'things that bugged you' thread...or the 'unpopular opinions' thread but I'll bring it over here. I didn't like how the visions were used on Angel. More often then not Angel and his crew didn't go out to fight demons and vampires and other bad things unless Cordy got a vision. I think Gunn even mentioned once that there was nothing to do because Cordy wouldn't get a vision. I've always thought that the visions should have been a way to get extra bad things instead of their main way. They should have been patrolling at night and if Cordy got a vision she'd call them with a location and details. Maybe even have two members of the team out a night to do a regular sweep and then another pair staying at the hotel in case of a vision emergency. There were ways to work the visions in that could have worked for me but the ways they showed rarely did.

^^ I assume that Angel did a few patrols from time to time, but he did so alone, and the others stayed at the office, in case thet got work (a vision from Cordy or a walk-in case). I can only remember him doing one random patrol on screen (in Conviction), but I seem to remember that he did so several times.

The biggest and most tragic plot hole in the Buffyverse: In "To Shanshu in LA", Cordelia buys Angel loads of art supplies, which is a totally heartwarming moment in their friendship, and yet we never find out if Angel gets them or how he reacts. I think this deserves it's own flashback comic or something. I must know what happened to those art supplies.

Doesn't explain how Angelus had that ratty looking mustache thing going on in the past then. Liam was smooth-faced when he was turned, and yet, in some flashbacks, he was sporting the rogues gallery of bad facial hair. There were times I swore that the make-up department were trying their hardest to make David Boreanaz non-appealing. To their credit, the succeeded more often than not.

Well, hair and nails continue to grow after death. And vampires are the living dead. So...maybe their hair and nails continue to grow after they're turned?

The drunk thing has always bugged me. Spike has been stumbling drunk more than a few times. Little mistakes like that bother me.
That nasty ratty mustache Angelus had was disgusting, I hate that thing. It really doesn't fit him at all.
Andrew on Angel was very annoying, and out of character for the show. I would have much preferred to have Giles guest star.
One huge thing that I've always hated was Giles ignoring Angel's request for help when Illyria had taken over Fred. Sure Giles may not have known Fred, but I hardly think he would have treated Angel that crappy. I know Angelus killed Jenny, and nearly killed him, but Giles had helped Angel out after that. I know a big part of him hates Angel for what Angelus did, but he should not have dismissed Angel so quickly. I absolutely hate that moment. I hardly think Giles would have behaved like that in an emergency.

There is also the question as to how the alcohol gets into their bloodstream and up into their brain to intoxicate them when their hearts don't beat. Andrew on Angel. Even though it was comical it really would have made more sense if it were Giles had been there himself. In spite of the fact that Andrew is one of my absolute favorite characters, I also disliked him on Angel. Unlike you, though, I kinda wish it was Dawn, like originally planned.

Maybe all of a vampire's hair can grow but only to the length it was when the human was turned, so it's not really growth, more like regeneration. There were times I swore that the make-up department were trying their hardest to make David Boreanaz non-appealing. To their credit, the succeeded more often than not. ' Are you talking about a real mustache, or just a accidental mustache that can be seen in some shots and that must be there because the actor hasn't had the time to shave (very annoying in certain scenes, when the character goes from being clean shaven to need to shave in a minute). Do you remember which flashback so I can check screencaps? One huge thing that I've always hated was Giles ignoring Angel's request for help when Illyria had taken over Fred. Sure Giles may not have known Fred, but I hardly think he would have treated Angel that crappy. I know Angelus killed Jenny, and nearly killed him, but Giles had helped Angel out after that. I know a big part of him hates Angel for what Angelus did, but he should not have dismissed Angel so quickly. I absolutely hate that moment. I hardly think Giles would have behaved like that in an emergency. I used to be real mad about that too, and it made me hate Giles, but then I realized that Angel never said that someone's life was in danger, just that it was important that he talk to Willow. Maybe Giles fooled himself into thinking it wasn't a life and death matter? I like to think that. I really hope he didn't do it to be petty, just that he was careful. I mean, if I had only heard Giles side of the story without having seen Ats S5; "Angel called me yesterday and asked for Willow. He's been working at this evil law form for a while." I would jump to the conlusion that he had lost his soul and was looking for payback.

Regarding the Giles thing... here's the actual quotes...
ANGEL (to phone) All right, look— (sighs) What do you mean she's not on this plane? You just said— Astral projection? Well, is there any way to get her astral over to L.A.? Giles, this is an emergency. No. No, I'm not going— Don't put me on hold.
ANGEL (to phone) Yeah, I'm still at Wolfram & Hart . What does that have to do with anything? Yeah. I understand. (throws phone against the wall; it shatters) We're on our own.
Angel was phoning Willow for help, Giles was just the middle man. And Willow was unavailable because she was on the astral plane, that's not Giles' fault. I always felt the fans kind of villainized Giles for that when there was nothing he could do. Yes, Angel was angry with him, but he wasn't behaving reasonably because he was mourning.
Admittedly, Giles does bring up the W&H thing, which casts more doubt on the situation. Maybe Giles didn't want someone as powerful and easily-corruptible as Willow falling into W&H's hands. Which is a fair decision; it's not like Angel has always been honest and true.
I still think Willow was genuinely unavaliable and Giles was being honest. Especially in light of S8 and her Saga Vasuki storyline.

The fact that Spike and Darla never really had scenes together will never be forgiven. I know there were a couple that they shared, but it was mostly to do with Angel and Dru. I just would have like to have see them one on one.
