The question is, are vampires and demons (and therefore Slayers) magical, or are they just another type of biological creature, like humans?

Personally, I don't think the breaking of the Seed is quite enough to banish all the demons and magic. Either it has to be totally destroyed or displaced. It is also strange that the thing that survived millennium can be so easily accessed and broken.

It is also strange that the thing that survived millennium can be so easily accessed and broken. Well, it's fragile enough to need a protector. I assume that protector gets defeated or turned somehow. I can't help but think that's The Master, since we see him standing right next to the Seed and looking at it. I think either he's the protector, or he killed the protector (and Spike doesn't know that yet).

The question is, are vampires and demons (and therefore Slayers) magical, or are they just another type of biological creature, like humans? They have to be magical. There is no biological explanation for how a persons soul is ejected from there body when they are sired. And the abilities we have seen from the various demons can only be explained by magic. And there is no way that someone Buffy's size could have that sort of strength unless it was mystically granted, not to mention the dreams.

Just saw the censored Chen cover over at Buffyfest. It looks to me like Buffy isn't lying on the floor beaten... it looks like she's in the process of delivering a beatdown to some unseen person.
I'm guessing probably either Spike or Angel. If it was The Master, would there be so much need to hide it?

She looks as if she's running, so aye, it'd have to be someone that justified running rather than immediate smack-down. So probably not Xander. :/ Could Giles be bad-ass enough for her to run...? So yeah, my unhappy gut feeling says Spike, because I can't see Angel being "most unexpected", given his recent stint Twilight stint. Unless Buffy *really* has serious blinders on where he is concern. I don't want it to be Spike.

Just looked at preview, I think she is holding somebody down with her foot, at their neck. Popular Tv move. As to who it could be, who knows? Possibly Andrew?

I think her torso is too twisted to be running with any real effort. She could be looking behind her, but that would just slow her down. It also appears she's focused on something lower than her. And she looks pissed!

I think she is angrily punching someone.

I think she fights somebody. And we know the outcome: she will be defeated. Her opponent is stronger than Buffy the Superpowered Goddess. That leaves only one candidate.
Unless Buffy is already depowered and is fighting someboby who has regular human strength.
I wonder if the absence of the cross on her neck is a continuity error or it has anything to do with the plot?

If we're dealing with possible time/reality wonkiness (as the jeanty cover of #36 suggests), I suppose that does open the door to alternative-reality-Buffy-who-disagrees-with-her-choices...
...oh Hecate, I hope not.

Being the impatient person that I am, I kinda wish we could have another Twilightgate. What would that be? And why would they reveal any of the plot on the cover? Wouldn't it spoil the issue? Why read it if it's all right there up front. Maybe this is a ploy.

I think she's either running or fighting. Or both. I think I'll go with she's fighting. Fighting someone...Dawn?

Whomever it is they are lower or beneath her. She's definitely looking down. Maybe she's on stairs.

Yeah, I think the same way. It would fit for the vision of herself lying down and as a big spoiler ("huh, why two Buffys?").

Re: the Chen cover... Judging by things Georges Jeanty said in his latest Q&A, I'm guessing it's Angel Buffy is fighting. I can just see how that would play out. Angel: Buffy, I'm betraying you! Buffy: What, again?
