So I stopped reading the IDW books a while ago, but have always planned on getting back into them. I'm a bit of a completest, so I was going to just attempt to track down every Angel book they have ever put out. The other day i was in a comic store and I saw an Angel Omnibus, and a Spike Omnibus.
Does anyone know if these are ongoing collections, and how much they will collect?

The Angel Omnibus collects The Curse, Old Friends, Spotlight (which is a collection of Illyria, Gunn, Wesley, Doyle and Connor spotlights) and Auld Lang Syne, while the Spike Omnibus collects Old Times, Old Wounds, Spike vs Dracula, Asylum and Shadow Puppets
However, I'm not sure if they'll continue with the Omnibuses, as all the Angel/Spike comics released lately are collected together in TPB and HCs

Ah, I already have all those, I guess I'll just track down the individual issues of all the newer stuff.
Thanks.

There are Hard Cover collections as well, that are much nicer than th individual issues, and even the omnibuses, IMO. So far there are: Brian Lynch's 'After the Fall' Run:Vol 1 - Issues 1-5 Vol 2 - Issues 6-8 Vol 3 - Issues 9-12 Vol 4 - Issues 13-17 Kelly Armstrong's 'Aftermath' Run:Vol 5 - Issues 18-22 Brian Lynch Returns! ('Become What You Are,' 'Drusilla,' 'Boys and Their Toys,' and 'Last Angel in Hell.') :Vol 6 - Issues 23-27 + Annual Bill Willingham's 'Immortality for Dummies' + 'Connorland' Run:(For some reason, the 'Vol #'s start over from '1' here.)Vol 1 - Issues 28-32 Vol 2 - 33-38 Mini Series:Spike: Asylum - Brian Lynch - Issues 1-5 Spike: Shadow Puppets - Brian Lynch - Issues 1-4 Spike: After the Fall - Bryan Lynch - Issues 1-4 Angel: Only Human - Scott Lobdell - Issues 1-5 Angel: Lorne 'Music of the Spheres' - John Brye - OneShot Spike: The Devil You Know - Bill Williams - Issues 1-4 Upcoming:Angel: The Wolf, the Ram, and the Heart - David Tischman & Mariah Huehner - Issues 39-43 *Finale Arc* Spike 'the Ongoing Series' - Brian Lynch - Issues 1-8 Angel: Illyria - Haunted - Mariah Huehner & Scott Tipton - Issues 1-4

Yeah, I've seen those.
In general I would prefer the individual issues to collected editions. I was just curious if the Omnibus's would collect everything because I'm lazy and didn't feel like searching for all of them.

Your best bet is EBay for individua Issues.I'm not sure if IDW are gonna bring out any more omnibuses, but I know they are going to do a 'John Byrne Angel collection' and a Brian Lynch Spike collection.

and a Brian Lynch Spike collection. What's this? Is that a collection of the upcoming series? Or a new version of the existing Spike trilogy ( Asylum, Shadow Puppets, AtF)? I always wanted some kind of Asylum/ SP collection, I own them in the Omnibus but I don't really like that version.

There are more than 10 comic stores In the city I live in so it's pretty easy to track down back issues.

I think I read somewhere of that Brian Lynch collection in a thread here at slayalive. Not sure if it had a thread of it's own. I think it was suppose to collect all Lynch series, except maybe the on-going.
But I might just have imagined it. One of my many daydreams perhaps.

Yeah I'm sure that everything is collected, but if it's all gonna be different shapes and sizes of books I'd rather just get the issues.
I think I'm the only one that like's the Buffy collections more than the Angels. =]
