Where was the confirmation of Willow getting her own spinoff of season 9?! AAAHH! I'm so excited!
I hope we get to see Tara!
As for these "spin off" series of season 9, do we know much about them? I know there are going to be at least 2 titles a month, but in terms of length or anything, is it still vague?

Everything is still vague. They're keeping it that way, because they don't have all the deets ironed out yet. And as Scott Allie said in his new interview with Buffyfest (click HERE), it's also out of courtesy to IDW, as they don't want to steal their thunder right now. IDW still has the license until 2011, and will continue to wrap up their story until then.

Can I just say how much I love these covers?
The idea of having the final issue cover parallel the very first one is genius!
And Jeanty's cover... Hmm. Well, Dawnie, it ain't looking too good. And Spike MIA as well.

Yes, but Spike's been confirmed for his own series in S9... so less fear there, I guess.

Yes, but Spike's been confirmed for his own series in S9... so less fear there, I guess. I hope these Spike’s spin-off series won’t be a flashback or a tribute of the character… if Spike's the one who would die in the end ... I definitely would feel myself devastated and ill. I'm not happy about any of the characters dying, I would sorry if Dawn or someone else dies, but losing Spike would pretty much ruin it all for me. I’m so happy about the Willow spin-off too. She is a great character and she deserves her own spin-off. About Angel, sorry but I have no intention to buy his series, but I’m glad that he is getting his own series which means he won’t be on Buffy main comics! Lets get his road to redemption far away of her! I hope to see more 9 of Spike on Buffy season 9! He fits so freakin’ well with the Scoobies!

I read that Oz was gonna join/feature in Angel Season Six if there was one, not Season Five.

Love Chen cover. I made this so you can compare the covers. I hadn't noticed how much she had improved at the covers until seeing this. I think Buffy is gonna betray herself somehow. That's the only unexpected person I can think of (though I haven't thought of any logical explanation for this).

Jo definitely got that iconic nose down for sure. That's definitely the thing I look for with Buffy comic illustrations is that they get that Gellar nose down. I mean, people say her nose is a little silly looking for television but I always liked it. Made her different from every other blond in Hollywood. I do hope the awesome covers keep rolling in with Season 9!! I'm excited and also worried to see who could possibly take on the next band of covers (Karl, Jeanty, Jo... all wonderous!). Although I have to admit I didn't care for the Wolves @ the Gate arc covers, I agree they fit in a way but I always found myself wanting "more" from the artist in terms of characters faces being more... like the actors and not just rough sketches of people. I would like to see the artist for Y the Last Man get into Buffy just to see a more life-like comic depiction (compared to Jeanty's cute bobble-head-ish character designs, love Jeanty BTW the characters and their fashion are awesome, but I think the Y artist could create a more "motion picture" look to the Buffyverse). Below is a link to the artist for Y's rendition of Buffy and Angel as comics... I like them! www.hellkitty.com/gallery.htm

I just noticed that Georges keeps saying that Dawn is on his cover for this issue above Willow...
Has Dark Horse blacked out the space between Willow and Giles intentionally to make us think Dawn is dead, and didn't relay that info to Jeanty? Therefore blowing that for us, since he has said that Dawn is on it, and that he also added Faith because he is fond of her?
Basically everyone is present but Spike.

Yeah, but only because the sun is in the background and Spike's still a vampire...that or he's dead...or something similar

No no, Jeanty clearly stated that "Dawn is above Willow". But all I see is Faith and Giles, so I think that Dawn has been intentionally blacked out, without Jeanty's knowledge.

“Seriously, Dawn is on the cover!” I think Dawn will turn into her real form in the end – a ball of (invisible?!) energy… But what to hell will happen to Spike… I’m sooo freaking terrified – Jeanty mentioned Spike will burn again… Oh, no, please, no!!! The DH people said – ill, devastation and Jeanty added – loss… Georges: It's the last time you see them all together...Is that mean Buffy and Angel won’t be together anymore?! Well, that makes me a bit happy… These “B/A forever, space-frakking moments” ruined Angel’s character for me! And Buffy’s character as well - I love Angel as a character, seriously, I don’t hate him! But I absolutely dislike his relationship with Buffy! No offence, it’s just my opinion! I’m glad to hear “Angel will have a lot to atone for once he gets his own book.”But WHAT’S ABOUT SPIKE? What he will have??? ???Another horrible and burning death??? It’s NOT bloody fair!

Jeanty's interview seems to indicate to me that: Dawn will survive the season. He seems to think that Dawn was supposed to be on the #40 cover, but she isn't... she was probably erased from the preview covers to avoid spoiling the fact that she was going to survive her injury.
And Spike also survives, although a bit the worse for wear.
