I've become such a whedon junky lately. XD I'd actually like to learn more about Bennett too. Really, thinking about it, I think all of the characters have so much more that could be explored with them that we unfortunately didn't get to see because FOX is evil.

Bennett... -Cries endlessly- I love the girl, she and Topher are/were so cute... But I loved her death. :x Honestly, I think surprising, Joss deaths are my drug. Bennett's ending was easily, IMO, one of the most shocking moments in Television I've ever watched, and for sure the most shocking out of Dollhouse. (And most sad.) As for Bennett in comics: Hm, I'm not sure. I love, love, love her, but I don't see what would need to be explored. Maybe a one-shot of her daily life in the DC Dollhouse? Show her in her comfort zone, and how she interacted with her own staff members? I, personally, love the scene in The Public Eye when Bennett talks to her assistant. "Keep you mind on your work, please. The moment you start wondering about the people upstairs, they'll start wondering about you." <-- Only Summer Glau and Bennett Halverson awesomeness can make that quote work. Not to mention it's written brilliantly. So, would I read a 'Bennett' comic? Yes. Would I pick it as my first choice? No. I think there are more important things to worry about, sadly.

Is this the right thread for discussing the special DVD comic?

It's as good a place as any. Welcome to the forum.

Thanks for the welcome!
I thought the mini-sized comic was cute. I thought it would be as big as the DVD case, but it's tiny. Looks like the art was approached with the book's size in mind. Cliff Richards' art is good as always, and he does a good likeness of Mag and Zone.
Wasn't sure about the scenes set in the office building---was this Rossum? Was that the building where the Dollhouse was located? I wasn't quite sure.
Loved the "return" of a favourite character of mine at the end.
Basically, this issue begs for a follow-up, so it's a good thing we're getting that one-shot in April and a mini-series later on. Hopefully we'll see Echo and the crew again, and I really hope they explain how Saunders/Whiskey went from her fate in "The Hollow Men" to back to the Dollhouse and her facial-scars-removed look in "Epitaph One".

Well, Whiskey probably underwent the same surgical process that Victor underwent to right his face after Alpha slashed him. It was a cool little book. The writing was okay, but since I wasn't expecting a cliffhanger on this one, it was a little disappointing. But the surprise right at the very end kinda made up for it. The art though... I've never warmed up to Richards' linework, and that feeling continues here. It's always looked adequately average to me... it just doesn't grab me. The likenesses were okay... Zone was particularly good, but I've seen better Felicia Day likenesses done by others.

I have yet to read the comic. I'm waiting until I finish my Season 2 rewatch (I haven't had a lot of free time this week unfortunately). I have to admit though I thought it was going to be much bigger than it is. For some reason I remember reading that it was supposed to be a 3 issue comic that we got in the DVD.

I've yet to read Epitaphs, but it sounds awesome. ;D
You guys keep saying someone returned? Hmm. I'm gonna take a guess, and say Mr. Dominic? If I'm right, that's super amazing. Haha.

I think it would be cool if they did a Boyd graphic novel similar to the Shepard Book one.

I thought the bonus comic was totally throw-away to be honest. Really short, not that interesting, and no resolution. I wasn't really interested in Dollhouse comics anyway, but this did nothing to entice me.

I wasn't really interested in Dollhouse comics anyway, but this did nothing to entice me. I agree. I read it this afternoon and I think it's a stretch describing it as a "28 page story to fill the gap between Epitaph One and Epitaph Two: The Return" as it had previously been cited. For one, it does NOT take place between them, it actually takes place between The Hollow Men and Epitaph One. And it's not even one full story...Just little flashes here and there of when the tech went global. And then for the end...Well...They clearly had to know that they were going to get more comics with that ending and I with that I wish they would have just waited because I felt like it was a waste. Love Season 2, but the comic was far beneath the expectations that I had set up for it based on what it was described as.

Would someone mind telling what the ending is? xD I am dying to know, and won't be getting this for a while, sadly.

However, when "Uncle Wendall" answers his phone, he is imprinted with Ivy's persona and says s/he's here to help. It's only exciting if you like Ivy (and I do!).

That's actually really cool. ;D Way better than my theory. xD So, does this mean Ivy may be a Doll? I remember that being a possibility when her Active File was posted on Ebay. And if it doesn't, well, it's still cool. Means we'll get some info on her, after she leaves the Dollhouse.

In my opinion, I doubt Ivy's a doll. I think she just uploaded her consciousness much like Caroline did, like how there were the real Caroline and the little girl Caroline in the Epitaph episodes.

I agree. I don't think Ivy is a doll despite her persona being imprinted on someone else. I mean, think about Topher being imprinted on Victor before things even went all crazy. I do think however at the very least Ivy ended up being wiped when the tech went crazy. Either that or she was killed. I have a hard time believing she survived (without dying or being wiped) and didn't find her way back to the others.

Since we're on the topic of amazing Claire, I'd love to see a one-shot focusing on her. She has a handful of potential stories, IMO. - One focusing on her, alone in the Dollhouse. - One about her 'self seeking' time, which is kinda still up in the air. I'd be a happy camper if something like that happened. ;D Hell yeah! I would love both of these! I really, really, really want to find out what happened with Whiskey/ Claire after the hollow men. So many questions about her were left un answered.
