You all know what they look like, now its time to be all judgy!
Lets hear which cover (including TPB's) was your wallpaper for months, your cell phone backdrop, a fan-made poster on your wall, or a guilty pleasure in your room above your bed. Haha. Lets give these awesome artist some incite on what they did right (or wrong?) and how these covers created some amazing scenes for the Buffyverse to remember Season 8.
I would do a poll but.... that's like 80+ choices, so just list your choice below!

My top 5 covers...
# 35 (Jo Chen) - loved the look of Angel and the others, but I'm a David Boreanaz fan and I thought he looked good. # 16 (Jo Chen) - amazing angle! I loved the look and the feeling of this cover. Colors, style, and I thought Buffy looked like SMG # TPB 7 (Jo Chen) - I loved the lure of this TPB, although Angel's hair is a little lackluster IMO, I loved the pose and the feeling I got from it # 9 (Jo Chen) - who doesn't love fire? And Faith looks flawless! # 29 (Jo Chen) - I liked the simplicity of this cover but the characters look really good. It was clean and well put together. Good SMG sketch. Had this one as a wallpaper for a while.
On a separate note - my all time favorite Jo was actually the Tales of the Vampires one-shot! OMG. The dreary colors with the red pomegranate! The characters were sexy/cute, very nice.

Hey, no double posting! As for the poll question, I think at this point, Jeanty's covers have edged out Chen's for me. The margin would be larger had I not had to buy the first 8 books from TFAW.com (no comic shop near me at that point) and back then, there was no choice... it was all a gamble whether you got the regular or variant covers. Generally, I preferred Jeanty's covers over Chen's. Stilted action, same muddy palette on just about every cover, disproportionate figures exacerbated by the claim to realism... those were Chen's major failings to me. Not all Jeanty's covers were great to me, but in general (and that's an industrial size roller of a broad stroke statement), I've preferred the variants. Sadly, the guy who filled in for Chen from #11 to #15 is not memorable.

Sadly, the guy who filled in for Chen from #11 to #15 is not memorable. I liked his... hmm... colors, maybe? I enjoyed that they tapped into the Japanese them paintings in a way that the images seemed timeless, but then again the four covers weren't striking and seemed to lack an essential magic that Jeanty and Chen seemed to capture in their portrayals of the show... I dunno... I just know I bought Jeanty's that time around (I like the kimono Buffy one!! fun colors!)

I wound up with more Chen covers, but not really by choice... I just took whichever one the comic shop people stuck in my box.
I can't really pick a favorite cover. Covers very seldom move me one way or the other.

For me, I probably have both covers of many issues, just because they are so different. I should have met Jo Chen when I had the chance. Won't be passing that up again. I would love to see her actual paintings. No matter how well printed, the original is always more impressive. But that's just me. I love the Supergirl homage on issue #32. Shamefully because I used that cover and storyline in a work that I'm doing, (not violating international property rights, by the way, my own homage) and I think it's odd that it's the Funeral for a Friend, death of Superman issue. HMMM. But the best cover? For all the drama it created, Georges #33. How fun was that? And for best overall art I'm gonna go with Jo Chen's #1 and #40. I love it when things are bookended. And you can see true growth and transition on all levels, story and creatively.

Jo Chen's cover for issue #19 was amazing. I even have a signed poster of it by Jo on my wall. As for Georges I would say. His cover for "Anywhere but Here" it's not his best art but just because the story alone behind it was an amazingly inspiring story so yeah.

I really can't choose a favourite cover as I loved so many of them. I bought both covers for each issue, but if I had to choose I would have bought the Jeanty covers as although I think Jo Chen is amazing and her art is beautiful to look at, I prefered the other covers for the comics and felt they emoted the feel and meaning of the stories more, imo anyway. I loved Jeanty's cover for #20, and also #21 and #26. Obviously also love Moline's Riley one shot cover

I liked ABS the most. Not Chen or Jeanty.

I ended up with more Chen issues, but my #1 favorite cover is Jeanty's cover for The Chain.

I mostly buy Chen covers. My favorite would probably have to be the cover of W illow: Goddesses and Monsters. (even though it looks like Willow got a boob job lol) My top 3 fav covers are in my sig banner.
