My suspicion is that at this point, destroying the Seed itself would be irrelevant because Willow now has its power. It won't be irrelevant. Willow having the power of the Seed is not the same thing as the Seed itself still existing. Willow having the power though would explain how she could survive 200 years as well as why FDW seemed to have so little magic left.

I predict that magic will end not when the Seed is destroyed, but when Willow is forced out of this world... only to have it return when she does, a couple hundred years from now.
